On October 1, 2024, BLACKPINK's Rosé took to her official Instagram account to announce the release of her solo debut album, Rosie, featuring 12 tracks. This announcement left her fandom excited.

The singer mentioned in her caption that after the group's long tour concluded, she was in a session in Los Angeles. Subsequently, the female artist spent one year in a studio writing songs with producers and songwriters she met for the first time. At the same time, she tried to figure out the next chapter of her life.

The K-pop idol further cited that the support of her family and team played a vital role in the rollout of her upcoming studio album Rosie. She mentioned:

"I fell asleep many nights feeling confused and lost. But with the support of my dear friends and family, my team, and of course my number ones, I am sat here today excited to announce the date of my album release. I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine."

BLACKPINK's Rosé mentioned the album title in caption:

"Rosie - is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me. And yes, it’s a full-length album."

This announcement post about her upcoming album circulated on social media and went viral. The fandom could not contain their excitement, and an X user tweeted:
