On November 8, 2024, Xports News reported that BLACKPINK's Jisoo's label, BLISSOO, responded to the rumors of the K-pop idol's solo comeback album release. Rumors about the idol allegedly gearing up to film her solo comeback music video in late November have been circulating on the internet as reported by Xsports News.

However, BLISSOO, founded by Jisoo in February 2024, denied the reports and said:

"Nothing has been decided yet."

However, the label also added that the solo comeback reports aren't true and said:

"Jisoo’s solo comeback reports are not true. The artist intends to focus on her acting career."

The BLACKPINK idol has recently finished filming her upcoming Korean movie, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, starring Lee Min-ho and Ahn Hyo-seop. She is also reported to star in the upcoming K-dramas Monthly Boyfriend and Newtopia.

More about BLACKPINK's Jisoo's upcoming acting projects and solo music releases so far

Jisoo is set to lead the upcoming K-drama, Newtopia, which is a gripping zombie drama series on Coupang Play, scheduled for release in 2025. She will portray the role of Young-ju, a recent engineering graduate and girlfriend to Jae-yoon, a soldier portrayed by Park Jeong-min.

The plot follows their journey as they navigate a Seoul thrown into chaos by a sudden zombie outbreak, fighting to reunite amidst harrowing obstacles. The series is directed by Yoon Sung-hyun, known for Bleak Night and Time to Hunt, with a screenplay co-written by Parasite’s Oscar-winning Han Jin-won.

Jisoo will also appear in Omniscient Reader's Perspective, a fantasy action film based on a popular web novel. In this upcoming Korean movie, she will take on the role of Lee Ji-hye, a warrior navigating a world where her character and others face battles against monstrous forces alongside the story’s lead character Kim Dok-ja (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) and Yoo Jung-hyuk (Lee Min-ho).

On the other hand, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo made her long-awaited solo debut on March 31, 2023, with the release of her mini-album Me. This album includes two tracks, Flower and All Eyes on Me. She became the first Korean female soloist to surpass one million pre-orders.

The album accumulated over 600 million streams on Spotify, making it one of the fastest albums by a female Korean soloist to reach this mark. The Flower music video was shot in Los Angeles where she aimed to showcase her unique artistic side, distinct from her BLACKPINK persona.

BLACKPINK’s Jisoo serves as the global ambassador for Dior, Cartier, Alo Yoga, Self-Portrait, and most recently, Tommy Hilfiger. In 2022, she joined Cartier as an ambassador, showcasing the brand's Panthère collection alongside other notable personalities, and in 2023, starred in a campaign marking the 100th anniversary of Cartier’s iconic Trinity ring.

In 2024, she expanded her portfolio to athleisure by partnering with Alo Yoga, debuting in the brand’s Spring 2024 campaign, and she became the face of the London-based brand, Self-Portrait. Furthermore, she joined Tommy Hilfiger as a global ambassador, starring in the brand’s Fall 2024 campaign shot in New York City.
