Fans are abuzz over TWICE's lyrics in their recent collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, on a remix of the rapper's hit track Mamushi. Some are speculating that the words could hint at competition with BLACKPINK. Released on October 25, 2024, the remix is part of Megan’s new album Megan Act II, a deluxe follow-up to her Megan album from June 2024.

When the remix dropped, fans quickly tuned in, captivated by the group's verse. Performed by members Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, the lyrics include the lines,

"Heard you listen once that make you look twice/ Bad and hot like Meg (Ah), nine stallions on your mind/ All these trophies, we just winnin' up the price/ Then we sold out your closet like we did at MetLife."

The lyrics further read,

"One spark, baby, ooh-la-la, that's what we like/ We're the originators, global entertainers/ Your favorite girl group sings our song screamin', 'TWICE.'"

These lines were perceived by fans as an assertive claim of the group's influence in the K-pop world and beyond. By highlighting their global presence and achievements like filling venues, including the MetLife Stadium, TWICE appears to be reaffirming their role as trendsetters who have paved the way for other K-pop groups.
