“Is this a sign of getting actor seokjin”— Fans goes wild as When The Phone Rings star Yoo Yeon-seok wears tracksuit akin to BTS' Jin's Instagram post

On Sunday, December 23, the eighth episode of When The Phone Rings aired featuring Yoo Yeon-seok wearing a similar tracksuit as seen on BTS' Jin in his previous Instagram post. The ongoing mystery romance K-drama, When The Phone Rings, is led by Yoo Yeon-seok, who plays the role of the male protagonist, Baek Sa-eon.

Therefore, as the latest episode of the show aired some fans drew parallels between Yoo Yeon-seok and BTS’ Jin’s tracksuit, which the latter wore in his Instagram post shared on October 14, 2024. Many fans even speculated about BTS' Jin’s plans to act in the future. One user on X stated:

Many other remarks relating to the parallels between BTS' Jin and Yoo Yeon-seok's clothes, as well as the former's acting plans, were posted online. While many emphasized that BTS' Jin did not desire to be an actor, others manifested him to be one.

“He does not want to act. He.. Does... Not... Want... To... Act. Heeeeee... Doesn t .... Waaant it. JIN DOESN T WANT TO BE AN ACTOR SOEKJIN DOESNT WAAANT TO WANT NOT HE,” stated a fan.

BTS' Jin revealed his forgotten dream of being an actor

On November 19, KBS Kpop presented a new episode of their chat show Lee Mujin Service, with BTS' Seokjin as the guest. BTS' Jin revealed his views on acting, disclosing his long-forgotten aspiration to pursue a career in the field. He asserted that he sincerely aspired to be an actor despite having never attempted acting or singing as a vocation.

“I really wanted to become an actor then because I hadn’t tried being an actor or an idol singer then. In the end though, for me, being a singer and an idol is such a lovely and fun job. The dreams I once had of becoming an actor are now forgotten. I’m happy as a singer.”

Earlier, on August 28, Korean publication Newsen revealed that the BTS' Jin would make his Netflix debut with the series, named KIAN's Bizarre B&B. This show is set to premiere in 2025. Although information about the production schedule is unknown, actress Ji Ye-eun has been revealed to join the cast of characters.
