On Tuesday, September 24, World Sharp released a statement that they donated 500,000 won under BTS Jungkook for women, children, and young people in need in Malawi, East Africa. This donation honored the idol's Special Korean Wave Award win at the 2024 Seoul Music Awards.
The donation was made under his name to reward the idol's win. Here's what World Sharp stated regarding the same:
"Congratulations on winning the Special Korean Wave Award for fan voting in August at the Seoul Music Awards. Jungkook's good influence and warm heart are the vulnerable in Malawi, it has become a gret hope for women, children, and young people. The 500,00 won donated by Jungkook will be used by World Sharp to support the education and self-reliance of the vulnerable in Malawi."
The award ceremony, conducted in August this year, awarded Jungkook the Special Korean Wave Award. The award category's winner is picked through a fan-voting system. Fans and other netizens were asked to vote for their favorite idol through the My1Pick app.
Jungkook took home the trophy for the same, and this was the idol's sixth consecutive win in the category under the Seoul Music Awards. While fans were already celebrating and cheering on the idol's win, they were elated to see a donation being made under his name.
On the other hand, the idol also bagged another award at the 2024 Seoul Music Awards. He took home the trophy for winning the K-pop Choice Award category.

BTS Jungkook is the youngest member of the K-pop boy group. He debuted under BigHit Music in 2013 and currently stands as the vocalist and dancer of the boy band. In addition to activities as a BTS member, the K-pop idol also kickstarted a solo career.
He released his first mixtape single, Still With You, in 2020 and officially established his solo career with his debut in 2023. He released a single called Seven feat. Latto, and followed it up with a full-album release, GOLDEN, in November 2023. Both releases were made completely in English.
