On Friday, December 6, the social media page of Hits Radio UK shared a few clips of their latest episode with BLACKPINK's Rosé as the guest on the podcast. During her interview, Rosé touched upon several topics, including Tiffany rings, lyrics of toxic till the end, her dream collabs, and more.
During the interaction, the host asked Rosé if she met Taylor Swift during her recording and she gave her some advice. The host further asked if Taylor had given her number. The female idol agreed to it.
BLACKPINK's Rosé stated that they are friends, although she feels somewhat embarrassed, believing she has been excessively boasting about it, despite it being her biggest flex.
“I feel like a bit embarrassed, because I feel like I'm going around bragging about it. In my defense, people are asking me. As much as it's my biggest flex,” Rosé answered.
The host went on to ask her under what name she had saved Taylor's phone number. To this, Rosé responded:
“I just saved it as Taylor. That's kind of cool too, right? Just Taylor. I sound cool” Rosé further added.
BLACKPINK's Rosé expressed her aspiration for collabs with Taylor Swift and SZA
In addition to her friendship with Taylor Swift, BLACKPINK's Rosé also opened up about her dream collaborations. When the host questioned Rosé about her dream collabs, she answered that she wanted to partner with renowned female artists like SZA and Taylor Swift.
“i don't enjoy saying it because…Because i feel like im jinxing sometimes. I mean like SZA Taylor All these people. No Im not talking about it because i feel its just not gonna happen” Rosé expressed.
Further, BLACKPINK's Rosé revealed that her ex didn’t actually steal her Tiffany rings, as heard in the lyrics of toxic till the end track. She shared that it was just something they made up. She went on to say that the lyrics are made up of metaphors and personal experiences.
In the podcast, BLACKPINK's Rosé told the whole story of her first song, Vampire Hollie. She revealed that Vampire Hollie was her first song, which she wrote when she began working on her solo album Rosie. She went on to say that this song gave her the confidence to spend a year writing songs in the first place.
She stated that as she began writing songs for her latest album, something came to her, but she was unsure about it because it was not "songwriting-worthy" to her.
