More about BTS’ RM's upcoming documentary RM: Right People, Wrong Place

On September 3, BIGHIT MUSIC announced the release of RM's documentary RM: Right People, Wrong Place at the Busan International Film Festival through BTS’ official social media.

On September 4, the agency dropped the special trailer of the documentary featuring RM, San Yawn, and other artists, sharing their experience of working with the INDIGO singer.

According to the official website of the documentary, it captured eight months' worth of efforts to make the BTS leader's second album Right Place, Wrong Person. Besides this, it also illustrates the life he lived privately and some intimate moments before he enlisted in the military in December 2023.

In the creation of his second album, RM goes on a journey to finding his true self besides being a member and a leader of the K-pop group BTS.

The documentary was described as:

“He reflects on how honest he can be as both RM and Kim Namjoon, balancing gratitude for the attention he receives with the pressure and fear that come with his status. RM used the period between the release of his first solo album 'Indigo' and his enlistment to discover his true self, channeling his experiences and emotions into his second solo album.”

Busan International Film Festival programmer Kang So-won stated that in the absence of Kim Namjoon due to his national duties, the documentary director Lee Seok-jun and other artists plan to join in for stage greetings.

She said:

“As you know, the main character, RM, is currently serving in the military, so he won't be able to attend the Busan International Film Festival. However, there are many other artists appearing in the film. Director Lee Seokjun and other artists plan to do a stage greeting.”

On May 24, Kim Namjoon released his second solo album Right Place, Wrong Person with 11 tracks, including the title track LOST! and the pre-release song Come Back to Me.

Other tracks are Right People, Wrong Place, Nuts, out of Love, Domodachi with Little Simz),? (Interlude) featuring DOMI and JD BECK, Groin, Heaven, and Around the World in a Day with Moses Sumney, and ㅠㅠ (Credit Roll).

Meanwhile, the global cinema release date of RM: Right People, Wrong Place is yet to be announced.
