Videos of BTS’ j-hope signing autographs for fans allegedly outside his hotel stay in Paris received backlash from fans online. According to OSEN, a South Korean media outlet, j-hope was spotted at the Incheon International Airport on January 19, 2025, leaving for his overseas schedule in Paris.

The following day, several clips of the BTS rapper meeting fans and swiftly singing their albums before he left were posted online. Although it is rare to see BTS members interact with fans on the streets during their international schedules, fans online were delighted to hear that the ARSON singer gave his autographs to fans in Paris.

However, as the videos started to circulate online, many ARMY believed that j-hope was entering the hotel he was staying at after interacting with fans. This led them to accuse fans of stalking him at his hotel and invading his privacy.

Fans online highlighted that this went against the fan etiquette guidelines shared by BIGHIT MUSIC on Weverse, which also included following or stalking the artists. They criticized the fans who received the autographs for their actions.

“Why is it ok to show up at his hotel. It’s against ARMY code to do this.”- a fan said
“Army cant follow this etiquette and a moot i know is upset that jin didn't give an autograph and all when visited the igin store ummm no... it is an unschedule event for him and all... gosh same goes for stop stalking hobi at his hotel…”- another fan added.
“I’m so mad that they went to his hotel to get an autograph from him. This isn’t what ARMY are supposed to do. They aren’t respecting his privacy,”- a user reacted.

Furthermore, netizens also warned other BTS fans to not interact with videos and clips shared by solo fans who are allegedly anti-fans of other group members.

“Why tf are you all reposting that f*cking sasaeng video? I’m so done,”- a user commented.
“If anybody sees a tweet from @rea1hobi , block them. not only do they share clips during private time, they hate the other members, too,”- another user commented.
“Hobi signing autographs to stalkers waiting outside his hotel room when was the last time we’ve seen a member sign autographs like this i keep losing this idgaf war,”- a fan wrote.

On the other hand, some fans were happy to see j-hope’s interaction with the fans.

“Our sunshine J-HOPE stopped to give an autograph to a very lucky ARMY who was waiting for him,”- a fan said.
“Omg I think this is the first time in years that he is signing autographs on the street, they almost never do it because there are always a lot of people, those army were so lucky,”- a netizen added.
“I haven't seen a tannie autograph anything in so long omfg HE ALSO LOOKS SO HANDSOME GRRRR,”- a fan stated.
