“It’s been so long” — Fans get excited as ITZY is reported to make a comeback as a full group in October 2024

On September 4, 2024, Ten Asia reported that JYP's girl group ITZY will be returning as a full group in October 2024. Lia, who had been on hiatus will be joining her teammates Yeji, Ryunjin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna.

On September 18, 2023, Lia announced a hiatus to focus on her mental health after "experiencing extreme levels of anxiety", hence, did not participate in the production or promotional activities. The group last promoted in South Korean music shows 9 months ago with the release of their third studio album BORN TO BE, on January 8, 2024, with four members.

Fans of the group known as MIDZY rejoiced as the reports of a full group comeback hit the internet. Many longed to see the group on music shows after 9 months along with Lia. A comment expressed the sentiments fully:

Beyond the emotional confirmation of the return of five members in October, K-Pop fans showed their excitement and anticipation towards a comeback-filled October which would lead to interactions between their favorite groups.

Recently, many K-pop groups and artists have been announced or are speculated to make a comeback in October 2024. Along with Wannabe singers, some of the other confirmed K-Pop groups to release new music in October are:

ITZY's full group comeback after a world tour

Yeji, Ryunjin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna, embarked on their second world tour in support of their second studio album BORN TO BE. The fifth member, Lia being on hiatus could not participate. The tour commenced on February 24, 2024, in Seoul, South Korea, and concluded on August 10, 2024, in Hong Kong.

The group held 32 shows in total including 11 in Asia and North America each, five in Europe, 2 in Latin America, and 2 in Oceania. The setlist consisted of some of their all-time hits such as Dalla Dalla, Wannabe, Not Shy, and more.
