On October 17, Rolling Stone released an interview featuring BLACKPINK's Lisa and Water hitmaker Tyla. As the two celebs shared the couch at Rolling Stone’s studio, they discussed their backgrounds, culture, and more. During this conversation, BLACKPINK’s Lisa opened up about her experiences of creating her first solo album.
Lisa said she usually works with one producer in Korea, but she wanted to try something new for her latest solo endeavor. She further said that she wanted to find another color of herself. She thanked RCA Records, which helped her find a producer. She further highlighted the pressure of working alone.
“It’s hard. It’s a lot of pressure, but I try to have fun as much as I can. This moment is going to go super fast. I’m trying to have fun, and I’m learning by taking risks. I feel like, with the group, you’ve got your girls and they’re super supportive. When you have something, you ask them, they give you the best advice. But me working alone is like, Oh,” she said.
BLACKPINK's Lisa also discussed the challenges and dilemmas she experiences when working alone on her project.
“Is it the right decision or not? Oh, my God, what should I do? That’s why I’m taking risks. 'I feel this, I’m going to do this.' I just have to trust my gut. I’m happy with the result. As long as I’m happy, no one can say anything.”
Tyla and BLACKPINK's Lisa commented on the cultural representation in their music
Tyla and BLACKPINK's Lisa appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, which sparked a frenzy among both groups' fans. Titled "How Lisa and Tyla Got the Whole World Dancing," the interview detailed their relationship in various ways. The two singers quickly connected over fame, food, and cultural representation.

Lisa pointed out that Rockstar's music video featured numerous Thai characteristics and was shot in Thailand.
Tyla remarked that she enjoyed presenting her culture to her audience, but she felt that not many people grasped the message she was trying to express. She expressed her feelings regarding the appreciation of culture and the efforts made by others to comprehend her message.
"But the people who do care, it's been such an amazing experience teaching people are different cultures and languages, our dances moves, the way we chant. It's exciting seeing everyone appreciate it.”
For the interview, BLACKPINK's Lisa donned a long maroon coat with comparable leather leggings, boots, and a white top. Conversely, Tyla sported a yellow bralette top, a coordinating mini-skirt, and heeled sandals with a large flower.
