On January 13, 2025, the South Korean K-pop group GFRIEND released a Season of Memories music video through HYBE LABEL's official YouTube Channel, leaving the fandom excited. The special project was unveiled to commemorate the band's tenth anniversary. It is to be noted that it was their first record since Walpurgis Night in 2020.

The three-minute and twenty-nine-second MV featured the group's six members traveling on a train and reminiscing about the old times. Throughout the years, they have longed and waited for each other. The band sang about staying together for a long time no matter the circumstances with their fans.

The scene transitioned, showcasing the female K-pop idols' choreography, visuals, and vocal range. In the MV, the group was surrounded by light sticks, which symbolized the support from Dear Buddy.

Subsequently, the K-pop fandom celebrated the release of GFRIEND's first special album and praised the record's cinematic elements. They felt nostalgic while watching the MV, and an X user tweeted:

"it's such a memory lane trip... this was so beautiful and nostalgic thank you for everything GFRIEND we love you."

The fandom was moved to tears after watching the latest music video video, titled, Season of Memories. They expressed gratitude to the band for spending ten years with them and recalled all the beautiful times spent with them. Fans also talked about the hurdles tackled by the band throughout the years and how they resonated with the lyrics.

"I want to cry so bad but currently at my office. Thank you GFRIEND for 10 years with buddy. This MV reminiscences all beautiful memories. It connected all MVs. It is beyond my imagination,"- a fan reacted.
"Finally got around to watch it and almost cried the MV was so cute,"- a fan shared.
"I never thought a music video could break me like this... The train of memories The girls together The clock going back The lyrics And the animation Buddies in the concert.. I miss gfriend so much when i first listened in pre-release i was like alright emo lyrics i got this But with the mv??? I practically lost it I'm typing this as i vry I miss them so much i wish we could have them back forever,"- a fan commented.

Many fans confessed that they bawled their eyes out after seeing the members perform. They further requested the band not to leave them again since they disbanded in 2021.

The South Korean girl group was formed by Source Music. They feature six members, including Eunha, Yuju, Sowon, Yerin, SinB, and Umji. The band made their official debut on January 15, 2015, with the extended play Season of Glass. It was released through Source Music and KT Music. The record featured five tracks, including Season of Glass (Intro), Glass Bead, Neverland, White, and Glass Beat (Instrumental).

Subsequently, they unveiled their second extended play, Flower Bud, on July 23, 2015, through Source Music and KT Music. The record featured six tracks, including Intro (Flower Bud), Me Gustas Tu, Under the Sky, One, My Buddy, and Me Gustas Tu. They have an impressive discography, including LOL, Time for the US, Fallin' Light, Walpurgis Night, and others.

In May 2021, the six members departed from Source Music following the conclusion of their official contract. Subsequently, the three members, including Eunha, SinB, and Umji, formed a new group named Viviz in 2002 after singing with BPM Entertainment.


Meanwhile, the band will embark on a three-day concert at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea, from January 17 to 19, 2025. They will also hold four concerts in Asia in March 2025.
