On August 14, 2024, Harper's BAZAAR Korea shared an interview with BTS's eldest member, Kim Seok-jin (aka Jin), ahead of the release of their September issue. The magazine cover featured the K-pop idol in a Gucci ensemble.
Following the photo shoot, Jin sat down with the publication to talk about his much-anticipated upcoming album. While discussing his forthcoming activities and solo tracks, Jin hinted that performing them would be enjoyable. He stated:
"Without giving away any spoilers, it seems like it will be fun when performing."
Without revealing too much detail, the Epiphany singer further mentioned that each track has a unique vibe, likening them to different flavors of ice cream. Expressing his hope that fans would eagerly anticipate the new music, he added:
"It’s different for each song, so I can’t say for sure, but if I were to compare it to the flavor of ‘ice cream,’ there’s soda, popping candy, and dark chocolate. I hope you look forward to it.”
While no additional details about the music style or genre have been provided yet, fans are now eagerly awaiting the album's release. They are already attempting to interpret the significance behind the ice cream flavors mentioned.
Anticipation for BTS' Jin's solo album grows following his hints in Harper's BAZAAR Korea pictorial
On August 13, Harper's BAZAAR Korea shared a teaser clip and a few cover images for their upcoming September issue, featuring BTS' Jin in a striking "rockstar" concept.
The BTS member donned a black Gucci outfit paired with red leather Driver gloves from the same brand. He was seen engaging with various instruments, including drums, piano, and guitar. This edgy look led fans to speculate that it might hint at the theme of his forthcoming solo album.
Currently, the Moon singer is the only BTS member who has completed his military service, and he is actively working on multiple projects, including variety shows and his solo album. Moreover, he has also collaborated with brands like Gucci and FRED jewelry.
For those unfamiliar, Jin has been recently named the global ambassador for Gucci, and this photoshoot marks his first official collaboration with the luxury Italian fashion house. It's also been reported that he will represent the brand at future runway events and fashion shows.
Notably, the K-pop artist's appointment as Gucci's ambassador created such a buzz that it briefly caused the brand's Japanese website to crash.
In a post-photoshoot interview with the magazine, the BTS star expressed his joy, saying:
"I’m really happy these days. I’m busy working every day these days. Even at this moment, I’m smiling because I’m happy just being working. I want to continue to give happiness to ARMY through my work. How great would it be if someone were happy because of me!"
Fans can find the full cover, photoshoot, and various content showcasing the singer's new look in collaboration with Gucci's 2024 F/W collection in the September issue of Harper's BAZAAR Korea.
