Studio N’s upcoming mystery thriller series Pigpen has officially commenced filming, as reported by Xports on 19 August. Featuring a star-studded cast including Jang Ki-yong, Cha Seung-won, Park Hee-soon, Roh Jeong-eui, and Kim Dae-myung is slated for a 2025 release.

Based on a work by Kim Kan-bi, creator of Sweet Home, and directed by Kim Sang-man, known for his work on posters for Parasite and The Host, the series is highly anticipated due to Studio N's successful webtoon adaptations.

The series promises a unique blend of suspense and intrigue. Its narrative focuses on Jin-woo, played by Jang Ki-yong, who, after losing his memory, finds himself stranded on a remote island.

Pigpen: The plot

Jin-woo washes up on an isolated island and finds a house where he collapses. When he regains consciousness, he’s in a room with no memory of who he is, not even his name. The family living there, running a pension, seems suspicious.

The family includes the owner, his daughter Ro-mi, and a worker named Jin Tae-hee. Determined to escape, Jin-woo tries to recover his memory, uncovering a shocking secret. Meanwhile, Bae Jung-ho is relentlessly searching for his missing son.

Pigpen's star cast

Jang Ki-yong plays the role of Jin-woo, a man who arrives on an unfamiliar island and loses his memories. He confronts a truth and awakens his buried memories to leave his peculiar family. He has appeared in It's Okay, That's Love, Search: WWW, My Roommate Is a Gumiho, Now, We Are Breaking Up, and My Mister.
