On September 5, 2024, the South Korean media outlet Xports News Ji Chang-wook's agency Spring Company released a statement regarding his Personality controversy through their official PR account. The agency revealed that they were looking for the fan involved in the recent incident, which questioned the character of Ji Chang-wook, and stated, as translated by Google:

"We are looking for the fan who is the main character in the incident where actor Ji Chang-wook's autograph notebook was stolen during the Revolver stage greeting on August 7th. If you are the person who had the notebook stolen or know the person involved, please leave a 'comment."

Those unversed, Ji Chang-wook attended Revolver movie greeting on August 7, 2024, where he provided an autograph to a fan on a notebook. However, instead of returning the notebook to the mentioned individual, he carried it to the other screening venues. Subsequently, when the actor realized his mistake, he made an effort to return the notebook to the fan in a different screening room.

Fortunately, the fan was found at the Da-daum Theater, where the autograph session was held, and their notebook was returned to them.


Ji Chang-wook's agency is proactively looking for the owner of the notebook

Through the recently released statement titled, Looking for Someone, regarding Ji Chang-wook's Personality Controversy, the Spring Company has been looking for a fan who owned the notebook the actor mistakenly took on August 7, 2024.

Spring Company revealed that they were looking for the fan involved in the notebook snatching, which gave rise to Ji Chang-wook's Personality Controversy. The agency stated that if they were the person whose notebook was taken or if anyone knew the individual involved, they could leave a comment under the statement released by the agency.

Ji Chang-wook's agency further elaborated that even though the notebook was returned to the owner, they could not afford to forget the outstretched hand, citing the reason they were trying to find the fan.

Those unversed, Revolver hit the cinemas on August 7, 2024, and featured Ji Chang-woo, Jeon Do-yeon, and Lim Ji-yeon. The action and crime movie was helmed by the director Oh Seung-uk and produced by Han Jae-deok. It was distributed by Megabox Plus M and produced at a budget of $1.7 million.

The film Revolver chronicled the story of a police detective, Soo Young, who went to prison for someone in return for hefty compensation. On the day of her release from prison, an unidentified woman, Yoon-sun, arrived to receive her. However, Soo Young was not given the promised compensation, and subsequently, she embarked on a mission to retrieve her things.

The South Korean actor and singer departed from Glorious Entertainment in May 2023 and signed with Spring Company, founded by his longtime manager.


The actor is known among the K-drama Community for multiple hit series, including The Worst of Evil, Healer, If You Wish Upon Me, The Sound of Magic, Melting Me Softly, Suspicious Partners, The K2, Empress Ki, and The Whirlwind Girl Season 2.

The actor is currently starring in the ongoing historical and romance series Queen Woo alongside Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Mu-yeol, Jung Yoo-mi, Lee Soo-hyuk, and others.
