On July 28, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC released BTS Park Jimin's ‘WHO’ MV Shoot Sketch on the band's YouTube channel, BANGTANTV. The video showed the MUSE artist busy filming the music video of his latest album's title track, WHO, in Hungary. The BTS star talked about enduring the bitter cold while hustling to finish production on schedule.
Additionally, he disclosed that the filming was scheduled for the following day. However, due to a weather forecast of a possible snowstorm, the schedule was brought forward. The Be Mine singer-songwriter headed to the location directly from the Hungary airport after traveling for 13 hours.
"We were supposed to film the MV tomorrow evening but there’s gonna be a storm tomorrow. So I came here to shoot right away as soon as I got off the plane." He said.
BTS ARMY was stunned over the disclosure and praised the BTS vocalist for his perseverance and "dedication." One fan wrote on X,
"Jimin’s dedication and passion for his craft are truly unmatched"
Others voiced a similar opinion after watching the ‘WHO’ MV Shoot Sketch and lauded Jimin for "never complaining" and doing an "outstanding job."
"Bless him!!! He must have been so tired and still did an outstanding job, as always!" one fan wrote.
"The man who never complains about anything that’s Park Jimin everyone," another fan said.
"There are no obstacles for Jimin! Not as long as it is in his hands to overcome them. He has never avoided challenges and never will. As always, great respect for his dedication and devotion. My ultimate Artist for a reason!" one other fan added.
Fans also emphasized how he managed to arrive at the filming site on time despite having a lengthy flight to Hungary and not stopping for rest.
"Just got off from 13 hr flight long trip, the weather was so cold esp with incoming storm and he still delivered an impeccably made music video," one fan commented.
"Long-haul flight to Hungary, but there was Jimin, having no enough rest but was professional enough to start the MV Asap. And the end result? Superb!" another fan praised the idol.
"And he still did it happily, giving input here and there, and even had time to encourage others," one fan said.
BTS Jimin takes fans on a behind-the-scenes ride of WHO MV filming
The pre-filmed 'WHO’ MV Shoot Sketch opened with BTS Jimin arriving at the location wearing a long black bomber jacket. The Smeraldo Garden Marching Band singer-songwriter shared how the number "4" is his favorite and also joked around with the crew to cheer them in the cold weather.
The video showed the idol rehearsing the song choreography several times despite the cold and delivering perfect shots each time. Later, while talking to a dancer, Jimin explained how a few of the verses from Closer Than This were written on the billboards that were shown in the WHO MV.
Additionally, the BTS idol then looked at the cameras and asked his fans (ARMY) to pay attention to the MV when it would be released. He also mentioned that he intended to incorporate a movie-like sequence into his choreography, in which he would bump into a girl while walking and then come back together.
"I wanted to have a scene like from a movie musical where they dance in the street. So when we were creating the choreography I wanted things like walking, bumping into each other, walking past, and then coming back together. I wanted to try these things," he said.
For the unversed, the BTS idol released his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024. The album includes the 7 songs:
- WHO (Title Track)
- Rebirth: INTRO
- Interlude: SHOWTIME
- Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)
- SLOW DANCE (feat. Sofia Carson)
- Be Mine
- Closer Than This
In other news, the MUSE singer-songwriter enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023, and will return in June 2025.
