BTS' Jimin and rapper Loco’s Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, released on June 28, 2024, has become the longest-running song by a K-pop artist this year on the Worldwide iTunes chart.

It has maintained the number 1 position for 7 consecutive days, beating his bandmate V’s solo song, FRI(END)S, which previously held the record with 6 days. It also broke the record for the biggest first-week song debut by a K-Act on Spotify this year.

Jimin of BTS has taken the music world by storm with his latest single Smeraldo Garden Marching Band featuring Loco. The track has not only topped the Worldwide iTunes Song chart for seven consecutive days but also reached number one on iTunes in 110 countries, making it the fastest song of 2024 to achieve this milestone.

Additionally, it secured an all-kill by hitting the top spot in the eight biggest music markets which are Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK, and the USA.

Compared to other BTS member's releases, Jimin's latest track has held the spot the longest.

The song has shown remarkable performance on Spotify as well. It rebounded from 23 to 21 on Global Spotify with 3.493 million streams after debuting at number four with 6.625 million streams.

This debut made it the third biggest song debut of all time by a K-pop soloist with 8.6 million unfiltered streams. In the US, the song re-entered the Spotify charts at number 44, climbing 41 spots, with 722,966 streams after previously peaking at number 24.

The music video for Smeraldo Garden Marching Band has also made waves, trending at number 21 worldwide on YouTube after spending two days at number one. It has amassed 12 million views and 1.7 million likes within a short span.

June 28, 2024, was Jimin's biggest streaming day on Spotify this year, with over 18 million streams. He has also surpassed 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, reaching 7,144,489, which is an impressive gain of 154,044 listeners.

The song also made its mark on the Worldwide Apple Music Song Chart, peaking at number 82 and currently holding the 97th position. On the Global Top 200 K-pop Shazam Chart, it is number one with over 50,000 Shazams.

Smeraldo Garden Marching Band debuted at number one on the Circle Download Chart in less than 2 days of tracking and placed 44th on the Circle Digital Chart with 5,727,529 digital points. In Japan, it debuted at number six on the Oricon Weekly Digital Singles Chart with 5,520 downloads in its first week.

In the UK, the song is expected to debut at number 31 on the Official UK chart, which would make it Jimin's third UK Top 40 hit. It already landed at number 8 on the Official UK Top 20 Trending Chart and number 7 on The Official UK Big Top 40, making it this week's top new entry.


Meanwhile, on July 5th, BigHit Entertainment released the official photo sketch of the music video on Weverse.
