G-Dragon is set to create waves in the industry with a variety show titled GD and Friends, as reported by Naver on December 12, 2024. Kim Tae-ho, known for creating shows like Infinite Challenge, reunites with G-Dragon for a reality concept that shows the star with the celebrity he associates with.

Reports suggest a lineup of notable guests for the show, including actors, comedians, and K-pop idols. Speculated names include Jung Hae-in and BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung. Other artists rumored to appear on the show are Jo Se-ho, Jung Hyung-don, and Hwang Jung-min.


Rumored guest appearances on G-Dragon's upcoming variety show

Comedian Jung Hyung-don, known for his dynamic with G-Dragon on Infinite Challenge, has officially joined the cast of the upcoming variety show GD and Friends. Broadcaster Jo Se-ho, one of the rapper's close friends, is also in talks to appear.

Jo Se-ho’s agency confirmed on December 12 that he is considering the offer, citing his close friendship with the singer, who attended his wedding in October. Rumors are swirling about other potential star appearances, including actor Jung Hae-in, BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung, as well as actor Hwang Jung-min.

Fans recently caught glimpses of the rapper and Jung Hyung-don’s reunion during the pilot episode's filming. Producer Kim Tae-ho shared that fan interest in the duo’s chemistry played a key role in shaping the new project.

G-Dragon is a South Korean rapper, singer, and entrepreneur, widely known as the "King of K-pop." He rose to fame as the leader of the boy band BIGBANG. His solo career began with his album Heartbreaker, which was a big success.

He also worked with his bandmate T.O.P. on the album GD & TOP and released the EP One of a Kind, featuring hits like Crayon and That XX. His EP Kwon Ji Yong included the song Untitled, 2014, and his solo tour, Act III: M.O.T.T.E, became the biggest tour by a Korean solo artist.

While MBC has not confirmed a release date for his new project, the network revealed that discussions are ongoing, with filming expected to continue into January for a 2025 premiere.
