"Jungkook and Baekhyun's performance and ability to dominate the stage are superb, and most of all, I wanted to have the ability to sing well like them."

He further revealed why OneStar is his role model:

"When I first heard OneStar's voice, I wanted to practive to have a voice like his. And I respect him."

Additionally, he also expressed that one of the main reasons he wanted to become a singer was motivated through a BTS video. He recalled watching a promotional video of BTS performing at an arena with fans cheering for the members while holding their lightsticks.

Hyuk stated that he was touched by it and wanted to perform on a huge stage as well. Therefore, he soon worked towards training to professionally become a singer and K-pop idol.
