Fans of BTS vocalist V have been enraged as BIGHIT MUSIC allegedly shared Korean media articles shedding light on the success of only some group members. On December 4, My Daily published an article reporting on Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook's success on the international music chart Billboard.
The article also acknowledged RM's second album ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’ ranking 88th on Rolling Stone's The 100 Best Albums of 2024 list. However, V's fans noticed that the article did not mention the success of his solo music release in 2024.
Notably, the article was posted officially on BIGHIT MUSIC’s X page. Fans accused BIGHIT MUSIC of deliberately sharing new pieces that did not highlight V's success on charts and sales in 2024. They alleged that this was not the first time the agency had shared news without mentioning the Layover singer.
Fans also alleged that the agency's recent social media post implied that V was not a part of BTS and expressed their disappointment online.
"Just announce that Taehyung left BTS already," a fan said
"you can mention & laud a 17 months old song but not the one released this year? stop disregarding taehyung & his achievements. how bitter & neglectful does a company have to be," another fan wrote.
"Where is Taehyung? Y’all keep hyping other members’ 2023 releases but can’t even add Friends (2024) or Layover? Is he not a BTS member anymore?", an X user stated
Fans expressed their frustration that BIGHIT MUSIC' allegedly excluded V from the solo achievements news several times.
Atp I feel y’all doing it on purpose just to get a reaction from fans. Once could be considered a mistake but thrice that just you wanting attention. Have some shame. No one in their right senses would treat thee Kim Taehyung like this, "a fan commented.
"This is the third time @BIGHIT_MUSIC you didn’t mention Taehyung; just reveal the news that Tae left your evil company," an X user reacted.
"it's the third time they exclude taehyung, he also has a bb entry this damn year MIND YOU @BIGHIT_MUSIC," a fan remarked.
Meanwhile, some fans explained that the article in question discussed BTS' albums' achievements and that V only released singles in 2024.
"For those who are asking about Tae, please read the article precisely, they are talking about albums not single releases," an X user explained.
"Qrts and comments to this are so?? like that’s a simple update on bts members that are CURRENTLY on various billboard charts and a mention of rpwp being on rolling stone top albums list that is literally it. it’s not a press release informing about all members existing projects," another X user added
"But yall know it's article about songs charting on billboard charts, right," a fan asked.
