'K Media Are Bullies' trends on X as Samsung allegedly deletes BTS’s SUGA's posts following the DUI incident

On August 15, BTS's SUGA appeared in two posts on Samsung Deutschland's X account, one featuring him with a Galaxy S24 Ultra and another with BTS members RM and Jimin. However, both posts were soon removed from Samsung Deutschland's X account.

Following this incident, fans couldn't help but suspect that Samsung deleted the post due to SUGA's recent DUI case. Many netizens expressed that Korean media outlets have allegedly been targeting the K-pop idol. This speculation kickstarted especially after JTBC's recent apology for releasing false CCTV footage of the idol's DUI case.

Fans and netizens are criticizing Korean media outlets for pressuring others regarding BTS's SUGA after his DUI incident. They’ve used the hashtag "K Media Are Bullies" to protest. Additionally, fans are calling for a boycott of Samsung due to the removal of SUGA's posts, demanding that all BTS members be treated equally and that SUGA's contributions be respected.

All you need to know about BTS's SUGA's recent DUI incident

On August 7, BTS's SUGA was charged with DUI. The idol soon released a statement explaining the issue. He expressed that he left his studio after having drinks with his few colleagues. However, the only available transportation near him was an electric scooter and since his house was nearby he chose to drive it on the sidewalk.

When the idol reached his house, he fell and lost his balance. The patrol police nearby approached the idol and took a breathalyzer test. After finding out that the idol was drunk, he was charged with DUI, and his license was revoked. When this news initially landed on the internet, JTBC and other news channels released CCTV footage claiming to be from the BTS member's DUI incident.
