K-pop Idols: Trailer and more

In the K-Pop Idols trailer released on August 20, the idols get candid about their experiences in the industry. Allen of CRAVITY talks about the demanding schedules that deny K-Pop idols of sleep, while Jessi tearfully describes an experience during her European tour.

BLACKSWAN member Gabi is also seen in the trailer, tearing up as she questions her standing in the girl group. Another member, Fatou, talks about how tough it is not seeing her family for years.

According to an exclusive by Billboard from August 19, Elise Chung, the executive producer of Bling Empire, spoke about the show and said,

“With K-Pop Idols, our goal was to pull back the curtain on the highly competitive world of K-pop and reveal the human stories behind the stars, This series is a tribute to the relentless passion and perseverance of artists like Jessi, CRAVITY and BLACKSWAN who are shaping the future of music on a global scale.”

The documentary was reportedly filmed in several countries, including the US, South Korea, France, Belgium, Germany, and Cambodia, to help demonstrate K-pop's global reach. K-Pop Idols was created for Apple TV+ by Matador Content, a Boat Rocker company whose credits include Vice's What Would Diplo Do?, ABC's Boy Band, and Paramount's Lip Sync Battle (Paramount Network).
