Actor Kim Seon-ho is currently reviewing an offer to star in the upcoming drama Delusion, based on a popular webtoon, as reported by Naver. His agency, S.A.L.T Entertainment, confirmed on August 14th that they are positively reviewing the proposal for him to take on the lead role.
If Kim Seon-ho accepts, this project will mark a reunion with Bae Suzy, with whom he last worked in the 2020 drama Start-Up. Bae Suzy, who was last seen on Netflix in the drama Doona! and the sci-fi melodrama Wonderland, is apparently in discussions to star in the vampire-themed series.
The project will be helmed by director Han Jae-rim, known for his work on Elegant World, The King, Emergency Declaration, and the Netflix series The 8 Show. The show is being produced by Showbox, which confirmed that both Bae Suzy and Kim Seon-ho are considering the roles.

Delusion: plot and cast
Delusion is set in 1935 during the Japanese colonial period and follows the story of a painter who is commissioned to paint a portrait of a mysterious woman. As the narrative unfolds, the painter becomes increasingly captivated by the woman. Moreover, various secrets surrounding her identity and eerie occurrences are gradually revealed. The drama promises to blend mystery and romance with a historical context. Yoon Yi-ho is the painter who becomes obsessed with Song Jeong-hwa, a mystery female vampire in Delusion.

Kim Seon-ho started his career on stage, appearing in several plays before making his screen debut in Good Manager in 2017. He gained fame with the drama Start-Up and further recognition for his role in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, earning the title of Gallup Korea's Actor of the Year in 2021.
Most recently, on April 30th, S.A.L.T. Entertainment announced that Seon-ho would release a pop song titled Miracle, co-written with lyricist Kim Ji-hyang. Kim first performed the song during his 2024 Asia Tour in Bangkok, with fans responding positively to later performances in Tokyo, Osaka, and Manila.
Bae Suzy began her acting career with a breakout role in the popular series Dream High and has since starred in several well-known dramas, including Gu Family Book, Uncontrollably Fond, While You Were Sleeping, Vagabond, Start-Up, Anna, and Doona! In October 2023, Suzy took on the lead role in the Netflix series Doona!, playing the character of a former idol who starts a romantic relationship with a university student, portrayed by Yang Se-jong.
