BTS Jin becomes FRED's first global ambassador
The French Maison announced its first global ambassador on July 8, 2024. BTS star Jin became the face of the luxury jewelry line in its 88 years of history. FRED was founded in 1936 in Paris by Fred Samuel and the brand is also known by its nickname, The Sunshine Jeweler.
On its official website, the Maison lauded the BTS idol for his various contributions to society and also underscored his new beginnings with 'The Sunshine Jeweler.'
"Jin's radiant personality and contemporary, casual chic style chimes with the modernity and individuality of Maison FRED creations. His collaboration with The Sunshine Jeweler promises to shine with a unique sparkle."
In addition, FRED has partnered with the non-profit organization Special Olympics since 1966, creating the FRED Force 10 collection in support of intellectually challenged athletes. A portion of the sales from this collection is donated to the Special Olympics.
BTS idol Jin was seen wearing the Force 10 stainless steel bracelet in an Instagram post on July 4, 2024, following his announcement as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics Torch Relay on July 2.
