On September 6, 2024, EXO's Baekhyun released his comeback mini-album, Hello, World, with the title song, Pineapple Slice. According to Hanteo Chart, within 24 hours of its release, the album's first-week sales record showed 893,214 copies sold. The K-pop idol surpassed his own album sales record, where he sold 868,840 for the 2021 mini album Bambi.

On September 6, 2024, Baekhyun performed at the Music Bank stage on his latest track Pineapple Slice. Around 300 fans attended the live showcase and the K-pop idol surprised them with 50,000 KRW tmoney transportation cards each. He also prepared food trucks, pizzas, handwritten bracelets, flowers, photo cards, posters, and more, to gift them.
The transportation cards were given so that all 300 fans could travel for free and attend his Music Bank showcase. Fans were moved by his thoughtful gestures and gift selection and praised him on social media.
Meanwhile, the K-pop idol is stuck with an ongoing lawsuit against his former company. EXO-CBX members (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) sued the company for not fulfilling their end of the agreement of charging INB100 with a 5% distribution fee. SM Entertainment increased the fee from 5% to 10% without informing INB100 and has been facing a lawsuit for months.
