On Wednesday, October 9, BTS' Tae-hyung and his fellow South Korean Army 2nd Corps soldiers were seen attending the 2024 KT & G Sangsang Unive: Night of Harmony Orchestra. As the idol appeared at the venue alongside his fellow soldiers in his military uniform, his appearance made the headlines of the South Korean news channel G1 Live.

The news channel captured two clips of the idol entering the venue and watching the orchestra. Fans were beyond elated and thrilled to have an update about the K-pop idol amidst his ongoing military service.

Fans couldn't stop talking about how they were happy to see South Korean news channels celebrate BTS' Tae-hyung's presence at the orchestra. They also added that this wasn't the first time he's made the news since enlisting in the military. The idol has consistently been appearing on the news for his attendance and tasks as a military soldier.

One user wrote on X:

"He’s truly the pride of SK. Korea’s National treasure indeed!"

Users on X were happy that the channels were showing the idol, while another commented that everything Tae-hyung does becomes news.

"Everything he is doing in ms always made it to k-news, from watching football to glimpse of him patrolling," stated a netizen on X.

More fans also discussed the idol's impact and influence in South Korea following his repeated appearance in news headlines.

BTS' V, also known as Kim Tae-hyung, is a 28-year-old K-pop idol who debuted under BIGHIT MUSIC with fellow BTS members in 2013. Following that, the idol excelled both as a vocalist under BTS and as a solo artist.

Besides the tracks he released through BTS albums, like Singularity and Inner Child, the he also rolled out SoundCloud tracks like Snow Flower, Winter Bear, and more. He officially made his solo debut with the release of his first album, LayoVer, which was created as a tribute to his relationship with his pet dog, Yeontan.

Tae-hyung enlisted in the South Korean military for his mandatory service on December 11, 2023. The idol joined the Military Corps and undertook the required three weeks of training. He was also part of the Special Duty Team program during his training period. The 28-year-old graduated as one of the elite trainees from his batch and was assigned to the Ssangyong Unit of the 2nd Army Corps in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. He currently serves as a specialized member of the Military Police Corps.

The K-pop artist released his single FRI(END)S, in March 2024.


After completing his enlistment tenure, he's expected to be discharged from the military in June 2025.
