On January 13, 2025, the South Korean media outlet Newsen, reported that Krystal, aka Jung Soo-jung's agency, Beasts & Natives, had confirmed her appearance in the upcoming film, Audition 109. She will be taking the leading role of a protagonist alongside male actor Jung Woo.
It is to be noted that the forthcoming movie Audition 109 is a sequel to the film Wish, which was aired in 2009. In the previous project, Jung Woo played the role of the main character, Jjangu (Kim Jeong-guk). Additionally, Jung Woo will helm the project with director Oh Sung-ho. It will be produced by Fan Entertainment and Perfect Storm.
Krystal will play the role of Jjangu's significant other
According to the outlet, Krystal Jung will play the role of Jjangu's girlfriend, Min-hee, in the upcoming film Audition 109. Meanwhile, Jung Woo will reprise his role as Jjangu. Meanwhile, Shin Seung-ho will reportedly join the cast lineup for the movie. He will portray the role of Jjangu's best friend.
Audition 109 will depict the story of the male protagonist who moved to Seoul, South Korea, to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor. It will shed light on the main protagonist's journey of discovering friendship, love, and self-discovery as he goes on about his life in Seoul, South Korea. It is to be noted that Jung Woo will be making his directorial debut with the movie.
Meanwhile, Wish revolved around the story of a high school boy who joined a violent organization, Monster, at an educational institution. He subsequently gathered to learn how he could become a man.
The movie hit the South Korean theaters on November 26, 2009. It was helmed by the director Lee Sung-han and penned by the screenwriter Jung Woo. The film featured talented actors, including Hwang Jung-eum, Yang Jae-young, Yoo Jae-myung, Jang Se-hyun, and other personalities.
For those unfamiliar, Krystal Jung is a South Korean and American singer based in the former country. She kicked off her career with television commercials. The female artist made her debut as a vocalist in the girl group F (x) in September 2009.
