On August 5, 2024, ENHYPEN made waves online as word of their hectic schedule hit the internet, making fans enraged towards HYBE and BELIFT LAB. The band was asked in an interview what they planned to do after the tour after they recorded some behind-the-scenes footage backstage during their Saitama concert show of the FATE PLUS tour.
Koreaboo reported that ENHYPEN revealed their wish of wanting to rest and rejuvenate in their post-tour vacation in a video interview. The members further added that they wanted to share a meal together and get some sleep. Ni-ki reiterated that their only travel goals were to eat meals together and sleep.
"We want to eat together. we haven't gathered together to eat...without cameras."
ENHYPEN fans, also known as ENGENEs, were enraged to hear this and called out HYBE and BELIFT LAB for overworking their artists. For the unversed, the rookie boy band is under BELIFT LAB, which is a HYBE Corporation subsidiary. One fan wrote on X:
"Let them rest and dont give them anymore tour this year after fate+ !!! Domestic promotion or variety show is enough for us."
The interview clip went viral online as ENGENEs took to X and shared their thoughts. Some tagged BELIFT LAB and HYBE and "begged" them to let the boy group rest and recuperate for a while since they have been going on tours non-stop.
"Imagine if enha would be gone for like a week, we’ll get zero updates from them but we’re aware that they’re on a vacation.. and when they come back they’ll turn on a live to share some memorable stories that happened.. how I wish enha could get that break that they deserve," one fan wrote.
"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I always pray that after their last official stop for Fate+ in Miyagi, no more tour announcements this year! I also pray that they’ll be given a vacation, even a 3d2n vacation wiil do, just without cameras, just the 7 of them to enjoy," another fan said.
"I feel like even tho they get to do those trip where they get to go somewhere and 'rest' in enoclock, the things they can do is still limited due to the cameras, they can't fully be themselves and enjoy the 'break' their own actual way, please I rly hope they get proper rest," one other fan added.
Others took an aggressive stance and urged fellow fans to boycott the company so that they would pay attention to the fans' demands.
"Enhypen need rest. You can keep tagging belift and enhypen but unless your actions support your words & you start boycotting hybe, nothing will change," another fan wrote.
"You can really tell where they are mentally when they’re saying stuff like this. @BELIFTLAB please let enhypen rest, they deserve to relax. Give them a work free vacation, I BEG," one fan commented.
"Hybe is literally overworking their idols and y'all still choose to participate in it instead of boycotting Hybe," one other fan remarked.
ENHYPEN's long list of tours and schedules leaves fans concerned about their health
After the Manifesto world tour, ENHYPEN embarked on their second world tour called FATE. The tour is associated with the group's Dark Blood and Orange Blood album releases. The FATE tour started on July 29, 2023, and is set to conclude on September 1, 2024, boasting a total number of 42 concert shows, with 30 shows in Asia and 12 in North America.
On February 6, 2024, K-pop boy band ENHYPEN revealed the dates for their FATE PLUS global tour. For the unversed, it was the encore leg of their ongoing FATE tour. Fans were thrilled when the extra show dates were declared in February 2024. The first of three concerts of FATE PLUS took place at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea, on February 23, 2024.
In June 2024, the FATE PLUS world tour (encore leg) officially added five more stops in Japan—Saitama, Fukoka, Hiroshima, Aichi, and Miyagi. This concerned the fans as the world tour has extended beyond one year.
