"Let's act surprised when we see him" — Speculation of BTS V's cameo appearance in Jimin and Jungkook's upcoming travel show intensifies online

BIGHIT MUSIC dropped another teaser trailer for BTS Jimin and Jungkook's upcoming travel show, Are You Sure?!, on Instagram. The new teaser showed Jimin and Jungkook's glimpses from Jeju Island, South Korea. Eagle-eyed fans noticed the duo in a restaurant which reminded them of Taehyung aka V's posts.

In November 2023, Taehyung uploaded two pictures with Jimin and Jungkook where they reportedly visited the Indian Cafe Chai, in Jja-Da-Bang, Seogwipo-si, Jeju. The café is designed like a little countryside tavern with mud-slapped walls.

The recent clip went viral online as astute fans recognized those café walls previously seen in Taehyung's Instagram posts.

The BTS ARMY quickly connected the dots and conjectured that BTS V might make a special appearance in the forthcoming reality travel show. One fan wrote on X:

"Let's act surprised when we see him"

Others expressed their heightened anticipation for the show as they were certain about BTS V's involvement.

This stemmed from V's reputation where he previously made a special appearance as one of the background cast in j-hope's MORE MV. During Jungkook's interview in Suchwita episode 21, he also appeared out of the blue.

"I love how they’re not showing tae to try and make it a surprise when we all know he was there," one fan wrote.

"Just realized they’re both positioned in a way that the mics are perfectly hidden lol," another fan added.

"Alright at this point i think it’s pretty clear that taehyung was there in jeju during the filming of the travel show. so can we just talk about it openly??" one other fan said.

Admirers wished to see the three members together in the show, even if it's "just for a second."

"Oh wait... This coffee shop was in Jeju....What if there's a surprise appearance from Taehyung," another fan remarked.

"I really hope we will get to see him even if its just for a second," one fan commented.

"Taehyung cameo in jeju is coming..please...they filmed in the cafe where taehyung took those selcas," another fan wrote.

Are You Sure?! captures funny and wholesome moments of Jimin and Jungkook in its new teaser

Releasing on August 8, 2024, on Disney Plus, Are You Sure?! is a reality travel show that filmed the BTS duo as they traveled across three cities: New York, Sapporo (Japan), and Jeju Island (South Korea). The show will have eight episodes and will air its first two episodes on August 8.

The new clip shows the BTS duo diving into the sea, snorkeling, playing with water guns, eating delectable cuisine, go-kart racing, rock climbing, and more, as Smeraldo Garden Marching Band played in the background. For the unversed, the song is from Jimin's latest solo album, MUSE.

The two Grammy-nominated South Korean musicians filmed the content ahead of their military enlistment in December 2023. Jungkook mentioned in Suchwita episode 21, how they had to film the entire show unscripted within a limited period.

He added that he and Jimin wanted to create a travel show several years ago but failed due to their hectic schedule.

"On a shoot with Jimin ages ago, he said it might be fun to do a travel variety show with me and I agreed. But it didn't end up going anywhere after that. Then suddenly they set up a shoot. It was so funny after Jimin came. It was just a total mess."

In other news, Jimin released his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024. He and Jungkook will be discharged from their military duties in June 2025.
