“LIFE IS GOOD AGAIN”— Fans emotional as BTS OT7 reunite for a selca together following Jin’s military discharge

On June 12, 2024, BTS' Jin was officially discharged from the Army's 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. The Moon singer was welcomed by the six members of the group, including Kim Namjoon, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jungkook, who showed up on the military base.

Later, the septet shared an OT7 selca via their official X handle, @bts_twt, to commemorate the discharge of the oldest member of the group.

In the selca, the BTS members surround Jin as he remains seated in the middle of the couch. While Jimin placed his hand over Jin's arms, Jungkook gave a thumbs up.

At the same time, Suga gestured toward Jin while RM sat on the floor, making a V pose. Meanwhile, Kim Taehyung and j-hope sat behind Jimin, looking at the camera, while the latter made a V sign.

Soon, the BTS' OT7 selca went viral on social media, and ARMYs became emotional over the bandmates' reunion. Naturally, an X user tweeted:

BTS' Jin updated fans on Weverse after getting discharged from the military

Following his discharge from mandatory military service, Jin took to the South Korean social media platform Weverse, where he penned down his thoughts regarding the upcoming in-person FESTA event and asked for cooperation from the fandom. He stated, as translated by X user @miiniyoongs:

"The company worked hard preparing for festa but i said just what i said <in the live> to make my free hug idea seem even better everyoneㅠㅠ i think my message of trying to say we brainstormed the idea together got delivered a bit incorrectlyㅠㅠ and tomorrow, since there will be many people for the hug, i ask that you please pass by as quickly as possibleㅠㅠ its most likely that a conversation will be difficult so after a quick simple hug, please pass by so that everything may run smoothly. i ask you for your cooperation please (cutely)>"

Jin shared a second post expressing his gratitude to the reporters and the people who arrived outside the training center to celebrate his discharge. He also regretted not greeting them properly, as the idol feared things would get chaotic.

"Thank you so much to the people and reporters that came and took pretty discharge pictures, and thank you so much to ARMYs that came in front of the company and gave me love because of my discharge i couldn't give my proper greetings in the case it would get too chaotic but i'm so so thankful," the idol shared, as translated by X user @btsinthemoment.

BTS' Jin is set to attend an in-person FESTA event where he will give light hugs and deliver performances on June 13, 2024, at Jamsil Arena in Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
