On September 28, 2024, a user called 'I Love You Namjoonie' on the South Korean social media platform, Weverse, shared two videos featuring BTS' RM, performing Spring Day with bandmates, at the 15th Division Armed Forces Day event, sending the ARMYs (BTS' fandom) into a frenzy.
The user mentioned in the caption that he had attended the Armed Forces Day event as his father was the commander of the first Battalion of the boot camp.

The four-minute and two-second clip featured the leader of BTS singing the track and encouraging the audience to sing along. He further sang the rap part of Spring Day and continued to showcase gestures. Subsequently, the clips from his performance circulated on social media and went viral. The internet users could see the happiness visible on BTS' RM's face, and an X user tweeted:
"Its happiness is like seeing rain fall after a long drought."
The fandom was overwhelmed watching BTS' RM's Spring Day performance and wondered what the rapper would have felt during it.
"Namjoon is honestly so modest. It leaves me wondering how a human can be like that. If I had composed & performed a song like spring day which is a national fav & global comfort song, I'd probably b floating in pride all year long, but man he's so so modest. king behavior," a fan reacted.

BTS' RM's documentary RM: Right People, Wrong Place
to screen at the 29th Busan International Film Festival
BTS' RM's much-anticipated solo documentary, RM: Right People, Wrong Place, is set to premiere on October 7, 2024, at 8 PM Korean Standard Time. It will screen for the first time at the 29th Busan International Film Festival, scheduled to take place from October 2 to 11, 2024.
RM: Right People, Wrong Place has been chosen to play under the Open Cinema session at the international film festival, and will be screened at the Busan Cinema Center's outdoor BIFF Theater. The project will shed light on the creation process of the idol's second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, and the male artist's personality as an individual and an artist.
BTS' RM began mandatory military service on December 11, 2023, along with fellow group member Kim Taehyung, or V. The two are expected to be discharged on June 10, 2025.
