On December 12, the Korean publication, Peace News reported that ARMYs sponsored the refreshments for South Korea’s impeachment protests in the name of BTS' Taehyung and Suga. During the impeachment protests in Daegu, shops gave free snacks and coffee to demonstrators who used “Min Yoongi” or “Kim Taehyung” as a coupon code.

This endeavor, coordinated via an online platform, allowed individuals to prepay for refreshments for protesters. Besides Daegu, ARMYs reportedly paid for refreshments in further cities as well.

The protests occurred in response to the sudden imposition of martial law in South Korea by President Yoon Seok-yeol. On December 3, the president declared martial law, encountering widespread dissent. Despite the revocation of martial law after six hours, the populace engaged in enormous rallies seeking the impeachment of the President.

Consequently, ARMYs provided assistance to participants of the protests by supplying complimentary coffee and sandwiches during the 'President Yoon Seok-yeol Impeachment Candlelighting.'

BTS' Taehyung and Suga’s, aka Min Yoongi’s, fans seemed impressed with such initiative of the fandom. Consequently, BTS fans swamped the internet with their praises for the ARMYs. One of them commented:

“I like that a stance has been taken.,”

Many other reactions in favor of the ARMYs were seen online. While some called it “lovely,” others said such efforts would make the world “a better place.” Another X user described it as a “wonderful initiative.”

“I’m literally crying! This so lovely!,” wrote a fan.
“If we spread a little more purple every day, the world would be a better place,” stated another X user.
“This is a wonderful initiative! Another example of how BTS & ARMY generate more love & positivity in the world. BTS+ARMY=LOVE,” commented another fan.
“wow. this sort of community is unparalleled i wish we could chip in too from across the world. SK stay safe and handle that man!,” expressed another admirer.

Some were proud of ARMYs efforts, while others said it was an “amazing” job.

“Sweetest! Thank you for making the world a bit better,” stated a fan.
“This is amazing. Proud of ARMYs. WE LOVE YOU YOONGI,” commented an admirer.
“Proud of you, all ARMY's who contributed,” expressed an admirer.
“And if I say that this is what boycotters should have done instead of sacrificing the boys to feel like it was a worthy and helpful contribution (it wasn't),” remarked an X user.

BTS' Taehyung and Suga are currently serving their term in military
