RM is all over social media for his verse in Megan Thee Stallion's latest song, Neva Play, as he credited BTS for the reach of Asian artists in the Western music industry. On Friday, September 6, American rapper Megan Thee Stallion dropped the music video for her song Neva Play, featuring the BTS leader RM.

BTS has a huge influence on its fans across the globe through its music and ARMYs (BTS’ fandom). Fans often use the phrase “paved the way” to talk about their impact on the K-pop industry. Fans also use this phrase when haters try to downplay the group's success.

RM, in his latest song, acknowledged the success of the Grammy-nominated boy group when he rapped:

“For Asians we paved the way.”

On September 1, Megan Thee Stallion dropped the poster of Neva Play and stated,

“This is one of my favorite RM verses I've heard! I've never heard him rap in this style before.”

The anticipation for the song was at an all-time high as the BTS leader is currently serving in the military. Following the release of the song, fans were taken by surprise as they heard RM's verse and voiced their thoughts on the song on social media.

“LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE AT THE BACK!!!!,” a fan said.
“Namjoon’s got that king energy! “FOR ASIANS WE PAVED THE WAY” is such a powerful statement. Keep shining, King!,” another fan added.
