Killing Time: Plot and lead
The plot of Killing Time revolves around the mysterious death of a team member during a live internet broadcast, with everyone witnessing the death. This leads to a series of unexpected and intense events. Nam Yoon-su has reportedly been confirmed as the lead for the upcoming film.
Nam Yoon-su's transition into acting began in 2018 with the drama 4 Kinds of House. However, it wasn’t until his breakthrough role in Netflix’s Human Class in 2020 that he made a significant mark on audiences. His portrayal of Kwak Ki-tae, a morally conflicted character, earned him praise and positioned him as a promising talent in South Korea's television and film industry.
More about Nam Yoon-su
Following Human Class, Nam Yoon-su continued to gain recognition with roles in various popular dramas such as Postpartum Care Center, Monster, Yeonmo, and Today’s Webtoon. These performances showcased his ability to tackle diverse roles, from emotional dramas to action-packed sequences.
He is also set to star in the upcoming drama Love In The Big City, where he will appear alongside Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun. It tells the story of a young gay man in Korea who develops a deep friendship with a fellow student. As their connection strengthens, they move in together. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Sang Young Park.
In an interview with Allure Korea, the actor addressed the hom*phobia prevalent in Korean society and said:
“It’s the same love story. Everyday life goes on, and the only difference is gender. So I hope you see it as it is. However, the fact that the show sis released only on OTT shows that Korean society still has some ways to go.”
He added that he approached his character Go Yeong as a regular role and shared that he had queer friends growing up, which made him open-minded.
Beyond his acting talents, the actor also garnered attention for donating his kidney to his ailing father. Reflecting on his donation, Nam expressed his happiness at being able to help his father and emphasized the importance of supporting others in need, even in the face of fear and hesitation.
This selfless act earned him widespread admiration and led to his appointment as the Hope Seed Life Sharing Ambassador at the National Institute of Organ and Tissue Blood Management.
At the appointment ceremony, he spoke about the value of organ and tissue donation. He voiced the need for greater awareness and advocacy, particularly in Korea, where there is a shortage of donors relative to the number of patients awaiting transplants.
