On Saturday, August 17, BTS' Taehyung’s Love Me Again became his seventh soloist song to hit #1 on the UK iTunes Single Chart. The singer’s single track, which was released on August 10, 2023, continues to break records. Most recently, the track completed one year since its debut.

Love Me Again song is part of Taehyung’s solo studio album, titled Layover. There are a total of six songs in this album: Slow Dancing, Rainy Days, Blue, Love Me Again, For Us, and Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.).

Love Me Again, the co-title track from BTS member Taehyung's debut solo album Layover, marked its first anniversary on August 10, 2024. Upon the album's launch, V emerged as one of the exceptional Korean pop stars to attain remarkable streaming figures and chart rankings with a maiden solo release.

As of the time of writing, BTS' Taehyung’s Love Me Again music video has already crossed over 101 million views on YouTube. The MV was released via HYBE LABELS’ official YouTube channel. Tae-hyung's golden suit, which he wore for his music video, evokes memories of his Singularity stage outfit. His sleeveless red look pays tribute to the renowned English singer-songwriter David Bowie, celebrated for his extravagant stage demeanor.

Following its release in 2023, the K-pop singer achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing 50 million plays on Spotify in a short time for Love Me Again. This feat made V’s solo track one of the fastest solo singles by a K-pop artist to do so.

Moreover, BTS' Taehyung’s composition has maintained a position on the Spotify Global Chart for a whole year. Starting from August 12, 2024, the tune achieved the distinction of being the sole song by a K-pop artist to stay on the list for a complete 366 days without ever falling off.

BTS’s Taehyung’s solo track currently ranks 98th on the chart and has accumulated an impressive 745 million listens on Spotify.

Love Me Again achieved a notable feat by joining the ranks of BTS' My Universe, which also maintained its position on the charts for 366 straight days.

Currently, BTS' Taehyung is serving his mandatory military duty. He was enrolled on December 11, 2023, and is expected to be released sometime around June 2025. His joining date was similar to that of RM. So far, only Jin has completed his compulsory military duty, and he was released in June this year. The other six members of the band are doing their military service.


On August 14, 2024, the English track FRI(END)S by BTS' Taehyung exceeded 300 million streams on Spotify. In 2024, the single accomplished a significant milestone by becoming the sole track by a K-pop solo singer to earn this distinction.

The song originally debuted on March 15, 2024. The streams represent the combined outcome of the primary track and its three additional iterations: Sped Up, Instrumental, and Slowed Down.
