Lovely Runner actress Kim Hye-yoon and All Of Us Are Dead actor Lomon are set to lead the SBS rom-com drama, I Am Human From Today. SBS confirmed the news on September 4, 2024. The drama is scheduled to air in 2025.

I Am Human From Today is a fantasy rom-com drama that revolves around a love-hate relationship between a gumiho (nine-tailed fox) who hates the idea of becoming a human, and a narcissistic star soccer player, who suddenly enters the gumiho's life.

The drama is written by Park Chan-young and Jo Ah-young who also wrote the 2019, K-drama, Best Chicken. Kim Jung-kwon will be providing direction to the story who has also previously directed stories including Maestra: Strings of Truth, Love to Hate You, Are We in Love? and more. The drama will be planned and produced by Binge Works.


About Kim Hye-yoon and Lomon's character in I Am Human From Today

After the huge success of Lovely Runner, Kim Hye-yoon will be taking on a new challenge by adorning the role of gumiho named Eun-ho, who unlike traditional gumiho's, does not bewitch men or eat their liver in hopes of becoming a human.

On the contrary, she prefers living a carefree life while avoiding good deeds and men as she fears becoming a human. Gumiho or the nine-tailed fox is a creature that appears in the folktales of East Asia.

They can freely transform into beautiful women often set out to seduce men and eat their liver or heart. Extraordinary You actress, Kim Hye-yoon expressed her excitement for the role, and as per SBS, she said:

"I am thrilled to greet viewers with I Am Human From Today. This new character will showcase a fresh side of me, and I hope everyone will look forward to it."

Acclaimed for his role in All of Us Are Dead, Lomon will be playing the role of a world-class soccer player, Kang Si-yeol, a top striker for a renowned international club. Portrayed as an ultimate narcissist, Kang Si-yeol fears one thing, that is, losing muscles.

Both Eun-ho and Kang Si-yeol's lives are disrupted as they enter each other's lives, bringing unexpected upheavals. Lomon shared his thoughts and said:

"I am thrilled to work with such talented actors on this exciting project. Kang Si-yeol is a character with many layers, and I am eager to show a new side of myself."

Born on November 10, 1996, South Korean actress Kim Hye-yoon gained prominence for her role as Kang Ye-seo in JTBC's Sky Castle. She later expanded her acting repertoire with leading roles in K-dramas including Extraordinary You, Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, and the recently celebrated series Lovely Runner alongside actor Byeon Woo-seok.

Kim Hye-yoon has also taken up many big screen projects including the psychological thriller Midnight, The Girl on a Bulldozer, Ditto, etc.

The actress garnered several awards for her role as Goo Hye-young in The Girl on a Bulldozer including the Blue Dragon Film Awards and Grand Bell Awards for Best New Actress. She also bagged the Rising Star Asia Award at the New York Asian Film Festival.

Born on November 11, 1999, Lomon is a Uzbekistan-born South Korean actor. His real name is Park Solomon who lived in Russia as a child and later moved to South Korea.

Lomon debuted in 2014 with two drama series, Bride of the Century and 4 Legendary Witches. He also starred as a lead in Sweet Revenge and a Chinese drama Lookism for which he learned Mandarin.

Lomon gained major international success with his role in the Netflix original series All of Us Are Dead in 2022, garnering a huge following of 2 million followers on Instagram in less than a week. In the same year, Park was cast as the male lead alongside Shin Ye-eun in the Disney+ series Revenge of Others.
