On August 2, the UK band Dear Alice, formed through the BBC One show Made In Korea: The K-pop Experience, was introduced. This five-member boy group—Blaise, Dexter, James, Olly, and Reese—ages 19 to 23, was created by the collaboration of Moon&Back Media, SM Entertainment, and SM & Kakao Entertainment America.
For those unversed, Moon&Back Media, based in London, is run by Nigel Hall, known for creating popular shows like Britain's Got Talent and X Factor. SM Entertainment, on the other hand, has been one of the leading entertainment agencies in the industry for over 30 years. It was kickstarted by Lee Soo-man, a veteran Korean music artist and K-pop idol.
Dear Alice, therefore, is a combination of these two agencies' efforts and abilities. While they don't stand as a K-pop boy group, they underwent the ideal training process followed by the K-pop industry.
