On December 2, 2024, the South Korean media outlet MBC reported that the Marry My Husband Gong Min-jung announced her pregnancy at the drama Sorry Not Sorry's press conference. The event was held at the Stanford Hotel, Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
Gong Min-jung highlighted the similarities between herself and her character. She said:

For those unversed, Sorry Not Sorry is a forthcoming romance and comedy-drama following the story of four women, including Ji Song-I, Cha Hyeon-U, Choi Ha-na, and An Chan-yang.
