SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu went viral on social media for sharing a TMI about DK during the recent RIGHT HERE Concert in the US. On October 31, the K-pop boy group held their first show at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. They performed some of their popular hits, including songs from their 12th mini album, SPILL THE FEELS, featuring the title track LOVE, MONEY, FAME.
During the Snap Shoot performance, DK, the 97-liner member of SEVENTEEN, approached the extended stage but accidentally ripped his pants, prompting him to leave the stage to change his outfit. While he was away, Mingyu stated that he had a TMI to share about DK and amusingly asked fans to share the photos of the incident on social media platforms.
He said:
“DK's pants [ripping today]... please upload on x, instagram, whatever please!”
When DK returned to the stage, he told fans not to circulate the videos and clips online. Netizens were surprised to hear that Mingyu is active on social media and his English speaking skills. They shared their reactions to his onstage jokes on X. One fan on X tweeted:
““please upload on x” HES OOMF MINGYU IS AN OOMF.”
Several other fans expressed their take on the social media platform.
“X or instagram no mention of weverse... be careful who u call oomf it could be kim mingyu,” a fan wrote.
“this is the first i heard someone call this X MINGYU WHY ARE YOU HERE STAY AWAY FROM HERE,” an X user commented.
Moreover, fans were surprised to hear about Mingyu’s English speaking skills.
“What i love the most about mingyu is how he is not afraid to try to speak in english. he’s always open to corrections whenever he got some words wrong,” a fan said.
“I just feel he's gonna be unstoppable once he gets super fluent. He'll yap in english and I'd love to just listen to him still,” an X user reacted.
“I'm so proud of you mingyu!!!! give him a little more time to be fluent in english and he'd be UNSTOPPABLE with all the yapping that's about to come out of his mouth,” another fan added.
Fans found themselves laughing at other SEVENTEEN members’ reactions to the onstage situation.
“DK RIPPED HIS PANTS DURING SNAP SHOOT AND MINGYU TOLD US TO LET THE WORLD KNOW (crying emoticons),” a user commented.
“DK pants got ripped in the middle of stage cause he's having too much fun and got hoshi having a panic attack for a second also mingyu telling the whole carats there cause carat are their friends PLSSS THEY'RE SO REAL AND THE FUNNIEST FOR THIS,” another user commented.
“I can’t stop laughing at the damage control they tried to do during dk’s pants rip hoshi’s like and then immediately goes “go dino! go dino!” And dino starts randomly busting out moves while vernon and mingyu are dying on the side chaotic af reminds me of the gose class,” a fan wrote.
