On July 5, 2024, South Korean actor Lee Je-hoon opened up about his dance performance of BTS Jungkook's Seven and Standing Next to You (SNTY) in an exclusive interview with the media outlet Elle Korea.

In response to a question about his dance on the Golden Maknae's latest tracks in his recent fan meeting, Lee Je-hoon shed light on his experiences. He confessed that after practicing a lot, he realized the struggles of K-pop artists and stated, as translated by X user @Jungkook_SNS:

"My respect for K-pop artists only grew. I think this will be the last time I dance. If I do it again next year, I might collapse!”

Lee Je-hoon recently performed Jungkook's Standing Next to You and Seven during his fan meeting titled Jehoon's Favorite at an auditorium of Yonsei University in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on June 2, 2024.

Lee Je-hoon expressed he failed to justify BTS Jungkook's Standing Next to You and Seven

During the interview, the interviewer questioned Lee Je-hoon about his recently concluded fan meeting in Seoul a few days ago and how he grooved to the music of BTS Jungkook. The reporter asked:

"You finished the fan meeting in Seoul a few days ago & did a dance performance of BTS Jungkook’s song.”

In response, Lee Je-hoon reminisced about how he practiced the dance last year and showed it off. However, he was in a dilemma about whether he should perform in 2024 or not. Subsequently, the Chief Detective 1958 actors decided to dance to Jungkook's songs.

Lee Je-hoon elaborated that he eventually prepared the dance for this year's fan meeting. However, he felt he didn't do well and was unable to do justice to Jungkook's Standing Next to You and Seven.

The actor stated as translated by X user @Jungkook_SNS:

"I practiced hard last year & showed it off but I was worried about whether I should dance this year or not. I thought I would definitely be disappointed if I didn't do it, so I prepared, but I didn't do any better this year (laughs)."

It is not the first time the Taxi Driver actor has expressed admiration for BTS Jungkook. During the red carpet of the 2023 MAMA Awards, he mentioned that Jungkook was his favorite idol and referred to him as cool in response to a question about which K-pop artists he was into lately.

Lee Je-hoon also confessed at the prestigious award ceremony that every time he saw Jungkook, he wanted to imitate his performance.

In recent news, Lee Je-hoon has recently wrapped up his crime and thriller drama Chief Detective 1958, and his film Escape hit the theaters. Meanwhile, BTS Jungkook was deployed to the Fifth Infantry Division, where he would serve the remaining military period as an active duty soldier.
