As featured in the latest episode of Namib, Chris blackmailed Jin-woo into being removed in the broadcast round or else he would reveal his name, which was involved in the accident. Additionally, Kang Su-hyeon's partner, Jun-seok, confronted Jang Hyeon-cheol, who voiced his firm intention to destroy Kang Su-hyeon.
Namib episode 7: Jun-seok confronted Jang Hyeon-cheol
The seventh episode of Namib began with Kang Su-hyeon and Jun-seok anticipating Jin-woo's interview and how the audience would react to it. Su-hyeon quickly noted the great response to Jin-woo's music. She was confident in him, therefore she called the entertainment firm to discuss Jin-woo's deal.
She was optimistic that she would soon have enough money to buy a factory for her son, Shim Jin-woo. Meanwhile, Jang Hyeon-cheol's employees informed him that their candidate, Ha-na, had been placed fifth, while Jin-woo had come first in the next round of competition. Hyeon-cheol called Chris to inquire about the latest developments regarding Jin-woo's mother.
Jin-woo’s mother was establishing contracts with other companies to extract money from them in the name of Jin-woo's popularity, without even informing him.
Meanwhile, Kang Su-hyeon and Jun-seok worked to further promote Jin-woo. Jin-woo, on the other hand, performed in his duet round alongside another participant, Kim Yi-joon. Following their performance, Pandora Entertainment trainees Ha-na and Ji-young performed a duet together, which did not go well because the former had some vocal troubles while performing.
However, before their performances aired, show producer Park compelled his crew to take out errors in Ha-na's performance, as Jang Hyeon-cheol blackmailed him in the previous episode on Namib.
Meanwhile, Shim Jin-woo received a call from his production unit, who offered to hire him as the designer because his previous headband design (which he created for Ji-young) was popular with clients.
Su-hyeon and Jun-seok were later shown at Jin-woo's school as they went to sort out Jin-woo’s fight with other classmates to save Su-hyeon's son, Shim Jin-woo, as featured in the previous episode of Namib. Su-hyeon and Jun-seok supported Jin-woo's behavior and claimed to be his guardians. They finally settled the issue and returned home.
At home, they saw Shim Jin-woo, who assured his mother, Su-hyeon, that he was prepared to take over the factory. He stated that while he had previously disputed this, he now realizes that he wants to work in the manufacturing and design processes. Su-hyeon was overjoyed, but Jun-seok initially appeared unhappy but later agreed to Shim Jin-woo's decision.
Kang Su-hyeon then drank wine to toast her son's decision. While she was inebriated, she told Jun-seok that Jin-woo was like the ocean and she was like the desert, as seen in Namib (Africa's coastal desert).
The next day, Pandora Entertainment's Kim Dong-jun visited Su-hyeon's residence and informed Jun-seok that Jin-woo had been engaged in a car crash while driving. Jun-seok recalled the day he spotted blood in the restroom, but he denied Jin-woo's involvement.
Later, Su-hyeon and Jun-seok watched Jin-woo's duet performance on television. They saw that the show was attempting to create a negative image of Jin-woo by incorrectly showcasing his footage. Su-hyeon raced to the broadcasting headquarters to confront Producer Park.
As the producer refused to respond, she inquired at Pandora Entertainment whether Park had met Jang Hyeon-cheol, and she quickly found Park's visit to the office.
On the other hand, Kim Yi-joon met with Jin-woo privately and told him that he had to get eliminated in the broadcast round. Yi-joon further revealed that Chris had asked him to blackmail Jin-woo. Yi-joon told him about the car accident in order to convince him. He additionally gave him Kang Su-hyeon's visiting card, which was retrieved at the accident site after falling out of Jin-woo's pocket.
In the following scene, Jun-seok went to meet Jang Hyeon-cheol to discuss the accident. Hyeon-cheol stated that he wanted to destroy Su-hyeon since she caused his sister Yoon-hee's death. Hyeon-cheol described how his sister called Su-hyeon for help before she died, but she did not respond. Jun-seok returned from meeting Hyeon-cheol.
After returning, Jun-seok and Hyeon-cheol discovered that Jin-woo had been chosen for the following round, which would be a live broadcast. Su-hyeon and Jun-seok quickly went to the competition. In the final scene of Namib's seventh episode, Su-hyeon found Jin-woo on the rooftop as he went missing right before his live broadcast and assured him that he could trust him.
