On December 19, BTS' Jin was recognized as an influential Korean global superstar based on his online keyword mention status in a word cloud of Asian countries. Although the report focused on the global influence and online mentions of K-food, it also highlighted BTS' Jin as one of the influential keywords related to K-pop artists in countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

The National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (also referred to as the Rural Development Administration), directed by Lee Jong-soon, recently released the 21st edition of the 'FATI (Farm Trend & Issue)' report. This research evaluated and examined online references and keywords related to 'Analysis of K-Food Overseas Online Response and Awareness.'

The study examined approximately 3.38 million data entries made online in the preceding 12 months. It focused on global users of social networking platforms regarding their perceptions and responses to Korean cuisine.

Fans of BTS' Jin were impressed with his record-breaking performance. As a result, his fans flocked to the internet with their praises and love for the I’ll Be There vocalist. Expressing this sentiment, one user on X stated:

“So proud of our king seokjin and his impact he has been representing and spreading the South korean culture and food since his debut! He's the nation's pride indeed”

Many other reactions to BTS' Jin’s latest achievement were seen online. While many called it the “Seok-jin Impact,” others referred to him as a “humble superstar.”

“KING SEOK-JIN IMPACT!” wrote a fan.
“He is just the coolest. CONGRATULATIONS JIN,” stated an admirer.
“Well, he is a humble superstar! CONGRATULATIONS JIN,” commented a fan.

Some fans called it the “power of Jinfluence,” while others congratulated him.

“MOS INFLUENTIAL KOREAN GLOBAL SUPERSTAR IN THE WORLD,” stated an admirer.
“kim seokjin the face of hallyu wave be it music or food that's the power of JINFLUENCE,” remarked another X user.
“We love Jin, Jin loves us” a fan stated.

BTS' Jin recently launched a liquor brand IGIN in collaboration with celebrity chef Baek Jong-won

News1 Korea reported on December 12 that BTS' Kim Seokjin and chef Baek Jong-won, a judge on Culinary Class Wars, have joined forces for their Korean liquor label, IGIN. In addition to distilled IGIN, the duo has crafted readymade, aka RTD options, including 'IGIN Sweet Tonic' and 'IGIN Tangy Tonic.” These drinks are made using local apples, plums, and watermelons.

IGIN marks the Running Wild singer’s first significant business venture outside of music, promoting native Korean liquor.

Fans were excited about Kim Seokjin and Baek Jong-won's partnership, friendship, and love of Korean traditional drinks. Jin co-founded Yesan Doga, which has released IGIN distilled liquor.

To realize their idea, Jin and Baek Jong-won founded Jinnies Lamp in December 2022. Jinnies Lamp handles the manufacture of the spirits, while Yesan Doga distributes them.

Due to pre-orders that started on December 16, GS25's app server failed, leading to IGIN selling out shortly thereafter.

From December 20 to 24, 2024, Seoul's Seongdong-gu would celebrate IGIN's grand opening after pre-orders. The pop-up shop at 13 Yeonmujang 11-gil, Seongdong-gu, will be open from 1 to 8 PM.
