On August 9, 2024, SM Entertainment released a statement through Weverse, revealing that NCT DREAM Renjun's health had improved, and he would be participating in some of the group's activities in the near future. The agency stated, as translated by Soompi:
"We are making an announcement regarding member Renjun’s health and future schedule. Renjun, who halted his activities due to health reasons, got sufficient rest and focused on his recovery, and at present, the state of his health has improved greatly."
The agency further reported that NCT Dream Renjun would participate in the production of NCT DREAM’s U.S. single Rains in Heaven, slated for release on August 23, and the fandom could see the male artist in promotional content related to the single.

SM Entertainment further revealed that even though NCT DREAM Renjun's condition has improved, doctors have advised the artist to avoid long tour schedules for now. As such, Renjun would not attend The Dream Show3: Dream( )Scape concerts scheduled in the United States.
The record label further informed the fandom that NCT DREAM Renjun's participation in the group's activities after their U.S. tour would depend on the speed of his recovery. Hence, the agency will share another statement only when the idol recovers completely.
SM Entertainment concluded the statement by expressing gratitude to the fandom, who has been with NCT DREAM Renjun through thick and thin. The agency further assured them that they would do their best so the artist could meet his fans in person as soon as possible.
On April 20, 2024, SM Entertainment released a statement declaring that Renjun had temporarily stopped all of his group activities. The idol suffered physical health issues and increasing symptoms of anxiety. SM Entertainment reported, as translated by Soompi:
"Due to a recent worsening of his physical health and symptoms of anxiety, Renjun visited the hospital, and based on the results of his examination, he was advised by a doctor that he needs plenty of rest and stability."
The agency stated that the artist’s health was their top priority, and after careful discussion with NCT Renjun, SM Entertainment decided that he should only focus on his treatment and recovery.
In recent news, the group released their sixth Extended play, Dream()Scape, on March 25, 2024, featuring six tracks, including Smoothie, Icantfeelanything, Box, Carat Cake, Unknown, and Breathing (숨; Sum [lit. Breath).
