On August 5, 2024, NCT revealed through their official X account that group member Yuta would make his Japanese solo debut and embark on a showcase tour of HOPE. The male artist would unveil his much-anticipated solo album/single in the second half of this year.

According to the details shared by SM Entertainment to the media outlet Newsen, NCT's Yuta would embark on his solo debut showcase tour, Hope, in October 2024.

The idol will perform nine shows in five cities in Japan:

  1. Fukuoka (October 5-6, 2024)
  2. Hyogo (October 9-10, 2024)
  3. Aichi (October 13, 2024)
  4. Tokyo (October 17-18, 2024)
  5. Osaka (October 26-27, 2024)

NCT's Yuta's showcase tour Hope will be his first outing as a soloist. The tour will incorporate diverse acts that would provide a glimpse of his emotions and the tracks from his first solo album, as details shared by Newsen.

The agency has revealed through a press release on the website 'nct-jp.net' that NCT members would organize 'Yuta Solo Debut Showcase Tour, HOPE' to commemorate the release of his upcoming album and debut as a soloist. The fan club ticket pre-sales began on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 3 pm. The details regarding the record for the idol's upcoming debut will be released later, as revealed by SM Entertainment.

Yuta, also known as Yuta Nakamoto, is a Japanese singer, dancer, and radio host based in South Korea. The 28-year-old artist debuted with NCT's second fixed sub-unit, NCT 127, and first rotational sub-unit, NCT U, in 2016 and 2020, respectively. The idol has been associated with the agencies, including SM Entertainment, Avex Trax, and Capitol.

Throughout his career, he has been featured in multiple Japanese magazines, including GQ Japan, PMC, Ginger, Numero Tokyo, Elle Japan, and other publications. The idol made his acting debut with the film High&Love The Worst X Cross, where he chronicled the role of a leading character, Suzaki Ryo. The action and comedy movie was released on September 9, 2022, and received positive feedback.

The NCT member has been featured in two more Japanese dramas, including Cool Doji Danshi and Cool Doji Danshi: Bokura no Koibana, where he played the protagonist, Ichikura Hayate. The series was released in 2023.


In recent news, NCT 127 made a comeback with the group's sixth full-length album, WALK, on July 15, 2024, through SM Entertainment. The record was distributed by Kakao Entertainment and featured eleven tracks—Intro: Wall to Wall, Walk, No Clue, Orange Seoul, Pricey, Time Capsule, Can't Help Myself, Rain Drop, Gas, Suddenly, and Meaning of Love.

The record sold over 1,095,344 copies in its first week of release, per the data provided by the domestic chart Hanteo.
