On September 9, 2024, the South Korean pop-rock band under the label JYP Entertainment, Day6, appeared on the talk show, IU's Palette. The popular band consists of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, who peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's World Album Chart with their 2015 mini-album, THE DAY.

In the latest episode of IU's talk show, Day6's member Young K surprised the South Korean actress-singer by gifting her an English song. The Holssi singer-songwriter asked if she and Day6 should collaborate in the future. Without missing a beat, Young K took a folded piece of paper from his trouser's pocket and handed it to her, saying he had already written a song for her.

Fans hilariously reacted to Young K's confidence in subtly handing her a song he wrote during the filming of the show. One fan expressed their wish to see the collaboration come to fruition and wrote on X,

"Now I need that song to be recorded"

Netizens praised the Day6 member for being "thoughtful" for writing an English song for IU, given that she is yet to release an English song.

"He is so thoughtful. Even wrote english lyrics knowing iu is on her world tour. she doesn't have an official english release yet so may this be her first," one other fan noted.
"Usually other artists will say things like "I'll love to work with you!" but the fact that Young K already had a song prepared specially while thinking of the artist themselves makes him extra admirable, this is why he deserves all the success and opportunities he get," another fan stated.
"IU asking if they should work on this together and Young K replying, "Whenever you need me!" Oh my god, are we finally gonna witness a composition made by IU and Young K someday?" one fan said.

Others lauded him for being a talented songwriter and composer. Numerous admirers emphasized that Young K's graduating with a business degree was useful for him to seize opportunities whenever they presented themselves.

"This is a great example of what he once said that he used his knowledge from university to think of himself as a product. not only as a day6 member but also as a lyricist. to show his all in every opportunity and 'market' himself further," another fan added.
"Youngk really has the bold and go-getter mindset I wish to have. He really seizes every opportunity he gets, makes a good impression & builds really good networks in the industry as a result... I'm afraid his business degree isn't actually collecting dust," another fan wrote.
"The business student in him showed - this is like asking for iu's linkedin account and connecting with her for a potential coffee chat lol. Networking king," one fan lauded him.
