Netflix recently released the teaser for the upcoming series Zombieverse: New Blood on October 22, 2024. Featuring new cast members and new obstacles, the popular K-zombie variety show's second season broadens its horizons and universe in preparation for captivating viewers around the world yet again.
The series centers on the entrance of a "new blood" amidst the increasing threat of powerful zombies, and characters in the series face unusual tasks and challenges while struggling to survive. The new cast members coming to this series include Taeyeon, Kwon Eun-bi, Yook Sung-jae, Andre Rush, Code Kunst, Kim Seon-tae, Defconn, and Cho Se-ho.
Zombieverse: New Blood cast additions
The cast lineup for Zombieverse: New Blood is a blend of returning favorites and upcoming talent, which will ensure an exciting and engaging second season. Among the newcomers is Taeyeon, a renowned member of Girls' Generation, joined by actress and singer Kwon Eun-bi. Yook Sung-jae, a member of BTOB with acting and singing skills, is also on the list and is a formidable participant.
Andre Rush, a chef who has worked for four U.S. presidents, and rapper and producer Code Kunst complete the roster of newcomers. YouTuber Kim Seon-tae, rapper Defconn, and comedian Cho Se-ho will also join the mix.
Some fan-favorite characters from the first season will return to take on new zombie-infested roles. Renowned for her courage and remarkable leadership skills, Lee Si-young will again tackle the dangers of the end of the world. The multi-talented rapper and TV personality DinDin also returns to the show.
Former special forces officer Dex will offer his survival experience, and Tsuki, known for her dedication and loyalty, is expected to be a key player in the group's dynamics. Finally, Yiombi Patricia, renowned for her strategic thinking under stress, will provide her critical decision-making skills as they all attempt to outsmart the undead.

Produced by Netflix, Zombieverse: New Blood was made by the same crew that worked on the previous season. My Little Television star Park Jin-kyung and It's My First Time in Korea co-star Moon Sang-don are in charge of the production. They are part of Kakao Entertainment, which is responsible for overseeing the series' development.
Park Jin-kyung, a well-known actress from South Korea, is noted for her versatility. She was particularly praised for her role in the captivating Netflix series My Name, which narrates the tale of a woman who breaks into a criminal organization to exact revenge. She also played the lead in the well-known fantasy drama Hotel Del Luna, in which she expanded on the story of a hotel for the dead.
Moon Sang-don, a South Korean actor, is well-known for his roles in television and motion pictures. He received praise for his performance in the well-known drama My Name, where he was a key character in a compelling story of crime and retaliation. His acting was further showcased in the highly acclaimed thriller Stranger, where he portrayed the complicated problems of justice and corruption in the legal system.
Netflix expects to premiere Zombieverse: New Blood in the fourth quarter of 2024. This season will see the return of stronger zombies, more difficult missions, and new locations outside of Seoul.
