Hoshi of SEVENTEEN humorously hinted at his upcoming military enlistment during the group’s concert in Bulacan, Philippines, on January 18, 2025. The star appeared at the soundcheck wearing camouflage-designed pants, immediately drawing attention. Adding to the playful vibe, he performed a military salute and even pointed out his choice of pants, saying they resembled military attire.

Fans couldn’t help but joke about how ready Hoshi seemed for his enlistment, with many commenting that they’ve never seen an idol so enthusiastic about military service.

Although he didn’t directly address his enlistment plans, fans are well aware that, given his age and previous positive comments about serving, his enlistment is likely approaching soon.

The moment sparked laughter and affection from fans, who praised Hoshi’s playful attitude and enthusiasm.

"He’s so unhinged bless him," a fan said.
"Just take him already...sigh," a fan remarked.
"Someone just leave him in the military base already," a fan hilariously exclaimed.
"HE THINKS THIS IS FUNNY," a fan expressed.
"SHUT UP HOSHI PUT YOUR HANDS DOWN," a fan exclaimed.
"We have hoshi and then we have namjoon," a fan satirically compared the SEVENTEEN star's enthusiasm to enlist and the BTS star's eagerness to come back home.
"He is so readyyy and he is continuously preparing the fans also." A fan claimed.

SEVENTEEN's Hoshi to reportedly enlist in the military this year

Hoshi or Kwon Soon-young, was born on June 15, 1996, making him 28 years old as of now. According to South Korean law, all male citizens must complete their mandatory military service before the age of 30. Fans are well aware that his military enlistment is approaching soon.

With Jeonghan becoming the first member of SEVENTEEN to enlist in 2024, Hoshi is expected to be the next in line due to his age. As the second-oldest Korean member after Jeonghan, his enlistment has been a topic of anticipation among fans.

The group’s leader, S.Coups, who is the oldest member, was permanently exempted from military service in 2023 due to a severe knee injury.

Hoshi recently fueled enlistment speculations during SEVENTEEN's ongoing "SEVENTEEN IS RIGHT HERE" world tour. At their concert in Bulacan, Philippines, on January 18, 2025, he humorously highlighted his camouflage-patterned pants and remarked:

"I'm wearing military pants today."

This playful gesture made fans both emotional and amused.

Even in June 2024, during a fan call, Hoshi clarified that he wouldn’t be enlisting that year but planned to enlist in 2025. Later, in December 2024, he openly discussed how he was nearing 30 and expressed excitement about fulfilling his duty to serve in the military.

Fans now believe this world tour might be Hoshi's last before his enlistment, sparking mixed emotions. While they are proud of his readiness, they are also saddened at the thought of temporarily saying goodbye to another SEVENTEEN member.
