SEVENTEEN members Wonwoo, Vernon, and The8 are gaining attention from fans for accidentally recreating a hilarious scene from the tvN drama Hospital Playlist. On July 18, Going Seventeen dropped its latest episode 108 titled Class President Election #2.

In this episode, the members of the K-pop group held elections to pick the “class president,” who would look after the members and the staff and maintain harmony while filming the variety show.

Six candidates, including The8, S.Coups, Jun, Hoshi, Mingyu, and Dino, were selected for the ballot. To see how the potential president would react in a situation where the team members get into a fight before the shoot, two idols would create a fake scenario.

For S.Coups’ turn, Vernon and Wonwoo created a hilarious scene in which the two got up and acted like they were fighting. As the group leader, S.Coups decided just to spectate the "fight," the camera angle caught The8 observing Vernon and Wonwoo.

This scenario reminded fans of a popular scene from the Slice-of-life drama Hospital Playlist, which starred Jung Kyung-ho, Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Seok, and others. In the drama, Jung Kyung-ho and Jo Jung-suk fought physically, as the latter usually stole the former's snacks and chocolate from his cabin.

As the two fought, Yoo Yeon-seok’s character did not pay any attention to them as it was not an unexpected situation for him. Fans found the similarities between the Going Seventeen cut and the Hospital Playlist scene and reacted hilariously. A netizen stated:

After fierce rounds of hearings, Jun and Hoshi withdrew their candidature as they realized that this would be a difficult role. Meanwhile, Dino, who also wished to withdraw, could not do it as the members wished for him to run for the role of the Class President.

Following the voting session which included a total of 52 votes by SEVENTEEN members and the staff members, Mingyu received the maximum votes and was announced to be the president. Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of the K-pop group's variety show hinted at the comeback of the TTT concept, where the teammates go on vacation.
