On September 13, 2024, BTS' Jungkook became the first and only K-pop artist to have multiple tracks surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify. Both of his songs SEVEN (feat. Latto) (Explicit Ver.) and Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS) now have over 1 billion streams.

It is important to note that Left and Right is by the western artist, Charlie Puth, while the BTS singer was featured on it. SEVEN is one of the pre-released singles from Jungkook's debut solo album GOLDEN. The single came out on July 14, 2023, and the album was released on November 3, 2023..

Fans cheered over the BTS maknae's latest achievement and flooded social media with congratulatory messages. One fan highlighted how BTS paved the way for others in the global music landscape and wrote on X,

"The next BTS is BTS members themselves. NO ONE IS DOING LIKE THEM"

Several fans recalled BTS' Namjoon's verses from his latest track with Megan Thee Stallion, Neva Play, and underscored "For Asia, man, we paved the way" and lauded the BTS member for shattering old and setting new records.

"A few days ago someone said "For Asia man we paved the way" and he has been proved right ever since," one fan said.
"Can't wait to see all of my 7 gems in the billion club," another fan added.
"What do we have here? Korea, look no further, here's your long-awaited 'Next BTS'," another fan wrote.

Fans also called the BTS maknae a global pop star and lauded him for his impressive solo repertoire.

"@charlieputh, the most genuine, talented & supportive artist who never failed to show his affection to Jungkook. Thank you for your confidence on Jungkook's talent. We love you both," one fan commented.
"Jungkook makes history again, becoming the first K-pop soloist with two tracks hitting 1 billion streams on Spotify! Huge congratulations to Jungkook for this groundbreaking achievement!" another fan added.
"AND THATS WHAT YOU CALL A STARRR," one other fan stated.

Left and Right featuring the BTS maknae was released on June 24, 2022, via Atlantic Records. The track peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. It made its debut at No. 5 on the Billboard Global 200 and climbed to No. 2, where Puth and Jungkook achieved their first top-10 placements.

It was the BTS singer's second Top 10 entry as a South Korean soloist after his track Stay Alive (Prod. Suga of BTS) from 7FATES CHAKHO. The song topped the Billboard Japan Hot Overseas chart for three straight weeks.

It earned the Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for surpassing 500,000 CD sales. It earned a Platinum certification from the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) for selling over 1 million CD units.


In other news, the Jungkook enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023, to serve a mandatory conscription period of 18 months. He will be discharged in June 2025 and return to the entertainment industry to resume group activities.
