On Wednesday, December 4, the well-known Korean boy group BTS once again achieved the top spot on the list of the most streamed K-pop artists on Spotify Wrapped. This is the seventh time in a row that the group has achieved this position. The group has stood by the top spot on the list since 2018.

BTS fans were overjoyed with the group’s consecutive performance for seven years. Consequently, fans flooded the internet with messages of love and support for the boys. To express this sentiment, one user on X stated:

“No. 1 again! My response.... Of course they are. They deserve it. Even though 5 members are still in the military, BTS worked really hard before they enlisted to give ARMY so much music during their time away. Well done!”

Several other reactions to the K-pop group's consistency were shared on the internet. Many pointed out that the boy band is ruling the charts despite being busy with their service in the military.

“Kings..... Mind you they are not active at all.... 2025,” remarked a follower.
“on a temporary hiatus since june 2022 and without releasing a new single or album. oh BTS you will always be at top,” wrote another admirer.
“7 years at the top! BTS truly redefined global music history. Congrats legends!,” stated a fan.

One said that the boy band is “changing the entire music industry,” while another asserted they are “loved by millions around the world.”

“Mind you they are literally on hiatus for group activities,” expressed an admirer.
“People really tried arguing that BTS was just a trend but here they are dominating global charts for seven straight years even during their military service - that's not luck, that's literally changing the entire music industry,” wrote a fan.
“And when i say paved the way.. i mean this.. They are loved by millions around the world. Each year, they are being discovered by millions of new fans. And to think this is only the beginning,” commented another fan.

BTS' Jungkook became the first Asian soloist with multiple songs on the Spotify Wrapped list

Jungkook established a new record by being the first Asian soloist in history to rank multiple tracks on the Spotify Wrapped list.

Jeon Jungkook's two solo tracks, SEVEN and Standing Next to You, secured positions inside the 'Top 50 most played songs of 2024 worldwide' on Spotify Wrapped. The former occupies the 28th position, and the latter holds the 34th position on the chart.

Both these songs belong to JK's solo album GOLDEN, which was dropped on November 3, 2023.

As of this writing, Jungkook is serving in the military, alongside his bandmates. Jungkook and Jimin enlisted together on December 12, 2023. Taehyung and Namjoon joined the service together on December 11, 2023.

Suga commenced his service on September 22 last year. All these members are expected to be discharged by June 2025, culminating in the long-awaited reunion of BTS.

Jin and J-Hope have completed their military service. They were discharged on June 12 and October 17, 2024, respectively.
