The GOLDEN vinyl was released on November 8, 2024, following Jungkook's album launch on November 3, 2023.
BTS' Jungkook’s fans were delighted with his vinyl’s latest success. As a result, his fans flooded the internet with praises for the idol and his popularity. A commenter on X sarcastically criticized the idol's agency for allegedly mishandling the release of Jungkook's vinyl and failing to promote it properly.

BTS' Jungkook’s GOLDEN vinyl created first-day sales record in Hanteo history
Jungkook's solo album GOLDEN set a Hanteo record for first-day vinyl sales by a K-pop act and soloist on November 8, 2024. The artist beat the BTS Love Yourself: Tear record of 61,000 vinyl sales with over 80,000 GOLDEN LP vinyl sales on its opening day.
On November 21, BTS' Jungkook succeeded further by making the biggest vinyl debut as a K-pop soloist on Japan's ORICON Daily Albums chart due to his independent record, GOLDEN. The idol's GOLDEN vinyl was made public in Japan on November 18, after it arrived in South Korea on November 8.
The GOLDEN album of Jeon Jungkook is a compilation of eleven tracks, including Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer), Seven (feat. Latto) Explicit Version, Yes or No, Hate You, Somebody, Standing Next To You, Please Don't Change (feat. DJ Snake), Too Sad to Dance, Shot Glass of Tears, and Seven(ft. Latto) Clean Version.
As of this writing, BTS' Jungkook is completing his compulsory military duty following his enlistment in December 2023. He is supposed to be released in June 2025.
